Literally one of the funniest parts of the show. I hate when people want comedy characters to be nice respectful people, makes absolutely no sense. Also sets up some of the best episodes in the series later on that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.

I’ve struggled with it myself, and I also work in a hospital, that’s mainly why it seems so difficult to understand myself. But it’s true it’s very easy to hide despite what’s going on in their life on the outside. It really sucks for Aubrey & family though

Depression is often something people quietly struggle with. I have seen three of his films that he directed starring Aubrey BUT I don't think his films did very good financially. I don't think we will ever understand the reasons people choose to take their own lives. That why I just try to be kind to everyone I meet.. you never know what another human is really going through sometimes. 😔

I read about that and the more I read the less I understand. Her husband died by suicide and never showed any signs of depression, & he was extremely successful and seemed very happy with Aubrey. Crazy.

Yeah the jerry jokes are my least favourite part of the series. Even though the show makes them all out to be dicks, it's still upsetting. It's my least favourite type of joke in comedies - everyone for some reason hates on or is annoyed by a genuinely nice person and they become sadder because of it. (I say this but damn, I do love Derry Girls).
