"Well, Hello sailor" - preview
🕑 Added 2018-05-14 16:07:46 +0000 UTC Hey everyone!So, during may, there's a trend going on around artists called "Mermay". Which basically invite artists to post a new mermaid drawing every day during may.
While I can't do one drawing per day, in this month's drawing, I can create one mermaid.
And since a lot of you seem to like her, I decided to make Iris our mermaid. =D
So for this drawing, I wanted to play a little with that concept of the mermaid showing up to a soon-to-be-shipwrecked sailor and just toying with him a little lol

one thing that I like is how easy her expressions/body language come out. In some drawings I struggle with the pose/face, but on her it just goes lol

thanks, it's something I've been trying to do in some of the images, to actually tell a scene instead of the character just standing there lol

Oh, oh yes please! πππ I saw the title and hoped that this would be an Iris pinup, very pleased to this. I really like the pose and angle here, the way she looks up our way with that hint of a smile, breasts in below and framed by her folding arms, the foreshortening showing her "bum" rising up out of the water, with a touch of dynamism added by the flowing, curving motion of her tail. I also like how her tail fins are curling inward. Already her face looks lovely, very eager to see her fully rendered π, in general I really like this piece, fun and sexy.
