I tried a few, but the easier I found to use was Daz studio. The base models are descent enough, and you can create basic shapes (cubes, spheres etc) that are quite usefull to use as placeholders for the actual stuff you want to draw. And it's easy to move around stuff to see the best composition without having to re-sketch stuff any time you wanna see if it's "a bit better to the left".

What posing software are you using?

Thanks! Personally, I like weather in between. Sunny enough that you can do stuff, but not scorching hot either. 20-25º C is the sweet spot for me lol. As for her, I tried to be as faithfull as possible to her anime features, but also do it "my way". I'm trying to make anime based characters just a little more stylized on the face, so it's still relatable to the source material. It's definitely something I'm iterating on new drawings that are based of anime.

thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

it's funny because there's several "in between" moments that I look at and I go "ew, this sucks" lol But I learned to be pantient and that it will work out at the end =D

This is exceptionally cool of you to show! It makes me feel a little less bad about my own sketchy starts. I guess the trick is to keep iterating things until it all comes together! <3

Thanks for the insight on your process!

This is definitely a cool format and it's interesting to see the behind the scenes work leading up to the image. As for the full-on WIP here, I definitely love the sunbathing idea you've got going on here (funny because here in Ireland, the skies are grey and the rain is heavy! Just the way I like it! 😹). I really like the high up angle with us looking down on Faye as she relaxes, you've done a great job with making her pose look dynamic too by having her body twisting with the legs and arms on opposite sides rising and bending, same with having her torso coming up with her head leaning to one side. The hair being pushed to one side and falling down there is also something that I always find so appealing 😻 The face is looking gorgeous too, something about the nose I find really cute as well and I always enjoy the slightly parted lips with the little indication of white between them. The linework showing off the anatomy looks lovely too, particularly the curving collar-bones and the pec stretching up and over the shoulder, I'll be looking forward to seeing how that looks when fully rendered. The drawing of the feet, especially the raised and foreshortened one, as well as the ankle all look terrific, as does the flowing, curving outline of the lower, extended leg. Lovely work so far! Eager to see Faye finished off and the indication of light and shadow is looking marvellous as well!

Can't wait :D
