So for some reason I thought Maya was really mad about the book, just joking the first time she said she wasn't mad. Today, I finally realized she just said she was super mad to get Iris to send more sexy pictures. This density is probably why I was single for so long.

I love how much you're leveraging all the build-up of their relationship and back and forth over these past months/year of images; Iris and Maya feel like real people with an established chemistry/rapport even though this is the first time (as far as I know) that we've ever actually seen them speak to each other. the "series" are always on greyscale, since it wouldn't be possible to create 4 images and have them all be colored and everything in the available time. So it's not really that the phone is on greyscale, but more that it's time limitation.

Amazing drawing as always, but what I enjoyed the most about this was the implication that Maya was so flustered by the selfie that she typo'd her response once the picture had sunk in (I imagine she was typing that first line as the picture was sending). That's both realistic and funny, and also adorable besides. And the idea that Maya has the picture of her and Iris on Halloween as her phone background is beyond precious.
