I believe the rule was that the door will only open after 2 of them are chained up.

Also considering they are being watched by camera I expect the door to be closed after the three passed through. So only three would make it to the bottom of the tower

I think the first episode mentioned that Gon's dad caught the fish 20 years ago. Though I can be misremembering. So that would make him having Gon about 8 years after leaving the island to become a hunter.

Ah yes, recap. There are only 2 in the series and the next one is episode 26. I dunno exactly why they ditched them, maybe because it was kind of a disappearing trend at the time since rewatching material through official channels wasn't that hard anymore. And yes, the girl in the preview is kinda cute. HxH doesn't have that many girls... and even less that have more than a minor role... but most of them are really cute and the ones that have more than a minor role are great characters as well (IMO). But no worries, there's no lack of fanservice for the girls who watch. Okay, there's probably more fanservice for the girls who watch than for the guys who watch... As for the amount of episodes... there's 148 episodes in total. It's a pretty long anime. Even more impressive that the animation is also consistently damn good througout for an anime that runs that long. Every arc is a different amount of episodes... but I'd say the most important thing to take in is that every arc is vastly different from the previous one. Well, maybe the first few are a bit more similar to each other. But after that... it's almost like a different anime in many ways. But in a good way, it still feels like HxH throughout.
