First of all, thank you for waiting while I dragged my tired ass 10 goddamn hours from a Digital Meteorology Conference. It whooped me like a bad breakup, but here we are. Monday? She’s not looking half bad—unless you’re stuck in the U.P., because of course. For the rest of us, we’re feeling a little spring tease with some of that snow melting away from last week’s lake-effect shitstorm. You might even catch some sunshine west of US-127 this afternoon, but don’t get too cozy, bitch, because here comes the cloud parade.
Why? Oh, because some extra AF weather system is sashaying into Michigan Tuesday into Wednesday like it owns the place. And before you even ask, yes, I did predict this drama in my Winter Outlook (peep it on Facebook or YouTube: Brad Sugden Wx). This mid-week setup? She’s a big, bad Northeast bitch ready to spin her ass off. Cold air, strong winds, and lake-effect snow? Yep, she’s got it all, but hold your damn horses on the White Christmas dreams—it’s all melting faster than your ex’s excuses by the weekend.
Now, let’s talk Tuesday night, babes. Cold air starts creeping in like an ex sliding into your DMs, and snow showers are popping off in the U.P., Northern Lower, and West Michigan. Winds flip to the northwest, which means more lake-effect bullshit late Tuesday into Wednesday. By mid-week, it’s a snow show with more coverage than your aunt’s bad spray tan, thanks to a system flexing to our east and pulling in some of that frosty Canadian air.
Thursday? Oh honey, Thursday’s a drag. Temps will do a full-on reverse strut, and the winds? Bitch, they’ll slap you harder than a RuPaul read. Wind chills in the U.P. will hit -25—yes, you heard me right—and the rest of you aren’t safe either with temps staying below zero. Plus, blinding snow squalls? Cute. Just what we need.
By Friday, we’re crawling back to highs in the 10s and 20s—still cold as shit, but at least the warm air makes a comeback for the weekend. We’ll be seeing highs in the 30s statewide, so get ready for all that melted snow turning into slush and ruining your shoes. Mother Nature, you messy, messy bitch.
