This is big news for the snow queens and anyone profiting from Michigan’s winter wonderland economy. Love it or hate it, honey, we NEED this snow to keep the cash flowing and the businesses from freezing their asses off.
Saturday:
Colder air is making its dramatic entrance, and let me tell you, she’s NOT fucking around. Highs? Most of Michigan is stuck under the 20-degree mark. Southeast Michigan might sneak into the lower 20s if it behaves, but that’s about it. Winds are bringing their messy energy too—gusting over 25 mph out of the west and northwest. Not only will this bitch of a wind whip up lake effect snow, but it’s also gonna slap your face with wind chills near zero degrees. The lake effect snow will calm down a bit as the day goes on, like a diva after her encore performance.
Sunday:
The UP and Northern Lower are getting round two of snow realness as north winds kick up and say, “Hold my drink, bitch.” This is courtesy of a big-ass winter storm sliding south of us but close enough to stir some shit. Eastern UP? Expect another 2–5 inches of snow. Northern Lower? You’re looking at 1–4 inches, depending on where you are. You might be disappointed after seeing big numbers on social media. However, just like Grindr, it's all exaggerated. Highs will be in the low 20s, which, let’s face it, is still cold enough to freeze your fabulous ass.
The Week Ahead:
Here’s the tea: nothing groundbreaking, just more cold air refusing to leave like an uninvited guest at brunch. Lake effect snow keeps doing its thing, mainly in the UP and Northern Lower, with smaller servings for the west side. Mid-Michigan, the Thumb, and Southeast Michigan? Y’all are staying pretty dry, you lucky bastards.
And let’s talk about the wind—it’ll be breezy or flat-out windy every damn day. I’ve lowered my "windy" standard from 15 mph to 10 mph because when it’s this cold, you feel every goddamn gust. It’s like Mother Nature is throwing shade, and it stings like hell.
Wednesday & Thursday:
These two days are serving full-on Frozen energy. Highs will barely crawl out of the single digits in the north, while the south will see mid-teens at best. Wind chills? Baby, they’ll be colder than your ex’s heart—down to 10 below zero at times.
Beyond This Week:
The models are giving chaotic bisexual energy because they can’t decide whether temps will be slightly above or below average. So, it’s a "wait and see" game, which is just as annoying as it sounds.
