きっとオスにはこんなふうに見えていたに違いありません。（イメージ図なのでオスは人間にしておきました）
The Julodimorpha bakewelli nearly went extinct when females mistook the bumps on beer bottles for attractive giant females, clinging to the bottles and shaking their hips.
This is surely how it appeared to the males. (Since this is an illustration, the male is depicted as a human.)
