Hi, yes the 480i analog output is still not correct, MikeS is mostly working on it, and I try to support him. Hopefully in the next days we have a solution.

First of all, thank you for your incredible work! I’m speechless with what you’ve achieved. Probably not the right place to submit an issue, but regarding the first build to include async video, “testbuild_2023_11_03” broke 480i output on my setup. It was working correctly with the previous one. I’m using Analog I/O board 5.5 on a CRT via RGB scart cable. Now whenever a game uses 480i mode (or 576i on PAL), the screen flickers heavily (including mister OSD menu). I have to use “test build_2023_10_29” which doesn’t flicker at all. “testbuild_2023_11_03” included “fix for interlace analog output (by MikeS)”, but broke my setup. Hope this info helps to find out if there is anything wrong (or if it’s something related to my setup…). Thanks!!

We cannot have the original TLB in a timing accurate way, but there are possibilities to have it so close that it hopefully can never be noticed. I have some ideas, but they need to show. Could be i do multiple implementation until the best is found.

Thanks for all your great work on this core. The N64 was one of my favourite consoles. I read about your challenges with the TLB. Do you think the required timing and implementation might be the point where you reach beyond the physical limitations of the Cyclone V FPGA or is it just going to take a lot of dedicated time to get it successfully working? Cheers!
