yeah its not helped by the youtube/commentary sphere, which is entirely powered by overstating very basic grievances and turning them into "controversies"

Great take on the current state of videogames! Myself I mostly either invest in indie games or severely discounted AAAs after a while, except Ubisoft stuff cuz screw em. I try not to listen much to controversies unless they're involving employee rights, I've missed on a bunch of jewels like the evil within 2, RE3 remake and Prey because sometimes gamers will moan about everything except the important stuff. Recently dragon's dogma 2 has been a whole lot of fun but going by the controversy surrounding I would've believed it was another Suicide Squad or Cyberpunk.
