Orion in Hydrogen Alpha
🕑 Added 2020-01-14 22:52:30 +0000 UTCThis is the Orion Nebula in Hydrogen Alpha. This is a high dynamic range shot, a blend of two minute and 10 minute exposures over 4 hours to create this image. It is in monochrome because Hydrogen-Alpha is a single narrow emission of light. By the end of the season I hope to capture additional channels to create a vibrant color image of this part of the sky.
