Yes, I don't think many people realise the extent to which the climate crisis will impact population flows as different areas become harder to inhabit. And the areas most likely to face the worst consequences are those which have contributed to the problem least.

Mark my words, this recent wave of anti-immigration is meant to set the standards for climate refugees when our first world pollution drives third world citizens out of their countries. It makes no sense, immigrants and refugees have always helped countries in the long run, but here we are... Apparently no one learned anything from Angela Merkel saying "Wir schaffen das" [We will manage] as she allowed in over a million Syrian refugees and the German economy getting a boost in the long run.
