Poindexter frowned and rubbed his shoulder, but said nothing. He didn't want to provoke the guy.
"Look at that nerd! Nice sweater! Who dressed you, your mom?"
Poindexter wanted to say he dressed himself, but he knew better. This question was a trap. He sighed as he tried to walk away. He'd been through all this the past four years, but he had hoped college would be different. And right on cue, he felt a hand clap onto hi shoulder.
"Where do you think you're going, loser?"
"Just let me get to class," said Poindexter, clearly exasperated.
"Hey! Look at his pants! Why are your pants so puffy, nerd?"
"Don't," begged Dexter, his voice edging into a whine. He knew it was hopeless but still... The jock smirked, smelling blood in the water.
"Ohhhh, I see what's happening here." The man, a taller guy with short brown hair and a chiseled jaw nodded to his friend, a shaggy-haired guy with pasty white skin that contrasted his black hair. The two of them cackled as they grabbed the sides of Poindexters pants and pulled, causing his suspenders to fly off as the poor nerd's pants went to the floor.
Dexter gasped and covered his face as his diaper was exposed to the world.
"Aww! Lookit that! His mommy put him in didees so he doesn't make puddles on the floor!" The two bullies were laughing so hard they nearly pisseed themselves, while Poindexter spluttered and tried to cover up. They managed to stop him before he did and tease him some more.
"Wow! You're looking a little wet, buddy! You need a didee change?"
The two bullies burst into even harder laughter at the helpless diaper dork. Dexter began to cry.
"Hey! Knock it off," came a booming voice. The three of them looked up to see a towering guy in a football uniform standing there. "You two were supposed to be in practice but instead you are bullying guys smaller than you?"
Poindexter cringed as the man said 'smaller'. He stood there, too timid to move as the bigger guy chewed the two others out. All he could do was stand there with his pants around his ankles and his diaper on full display and look around at the other students passing through the hall.
Unlike high school, people didn't really stop and laugh. Some people watched, and some people gave disdainful glares, but most people tried to pretend that nothing was happening and walk away. That didn't make it any less embarrassing, though. It got even more embarrassing as he felt some wetness on his legs and some spattering around his ankles. He looked down in horror to see he had sprung a leak. Of course this would happen now. At the worst possible time.
"It's just a stress response," he muttered to himself over and over, beginning to hyperventilate despite his best effort.
"The nerd's wetting himself!" Yelled one of the bullies, pointing.
"Get out of here, you're not making things any better. Out or you're off the team."
The two guys slunk off, clearly annoyed but pleased that they got out of their chewing out so easily.
"Uhh... sorry, buddy," said the man, scratching the back of his head in embarrassment. Dexter just whimpered, and the man seemed to remember what was happening as some pee splattered his shoes. "Oh! Oh, gosh..."
He didn't seem to know what to do. But he was the football captain and used to making quick decisions. He quickly decided on pulling up the pants, and then tying his own jacket around Dexter's waist to hide the huge wet spot forming underneath. He quickly guided Dexter toward the restrooms and inside. Dexter was too fazed to resist.
The man untied the jacket to assess the damage to Dexter's pants. Dexter saw that the wet spot had spread to the jacket and began to tremble.
"I'm s-s-soooo sorry!" he stammered, but the football captain held up his hand.
"No need to apologize. It'll all wash out, I'm sure. But are you okay?"
Dexter was taken aback nobody had ever asked him something like that before. "W-what do you mean?"
"Those guys... I can't help but feel partly responsible as the football captain. Are you going to be alright? Can you get, er... changed?" The man blushed slightly, clearly trying to be respectful and not knowing how. Dexter was also embarrassed and unsure of what to do.
"I, uh, uh... I, uh.... Um... uh..."
The bigger man seemed to be even more concerned when Poindexter couldn't answer him. He put a hand on Dexter's shoulder to calm him down a bit.
"What's your name?"
"Poindexter," said dexter, hesitantly. "PD for short..."
"Well, PD. I want you to breathe for a second and tell me what I can do to help."
Dexter breathed for a second, then said, "W-well... you can... guard the door..."
"Got it," said the man, before PD could finish his sentence. PD nodded and then went into the handicap stall where he had plenty of room. He managed to take off his old diaper fine, pulling open each tape with a loud tearing sound that made him wince. He let the heavy diaper drop to the floor with a plop and he opened up his backpack to grab out a new diaper. But when he tried to put it on, he found his hands were shaking terribly.
"You okay in there, buddy?" asked the captain.
"F-f-fine," PD said in a quavering voice that was not at all convincing.
"You don't sound fine... do you... uh... do you need any help?"
"NO!" squeaked PD. He covered his mouth.
"I think you'd better let me help... It'll save us both some time, I think..." It sounded like this man had come to another decision on his own and he had his mind set on what should happen. Dexter felt he had no choice but to open the stall door.
The man took the diaper from his hands gently and began to open it up...
