Katsuki dithered in the doorway, clenching his jaw as he braced himself. He knew Mina wouldn’t care, not really, but there were gonna be so many stupid questions, he was gonna have to be way too open with her, and he was not looking forward to that experience. It had taken a perfect shitstorm of events to even get him to this point, and part of him wanted to just walk stiffly back to the dorms and lock himself away for a few days, maybe call one of his parents to help out or something – except they’d still have to explain to Aizawa or something why they were there, ugh. What were the chances of him being able to get a package delivered by the end of the day? Could he walk to the convenience store a couple of streets over without having an issue along the way? He didn’t think so, but he was tempted to try.
“Oi, Pinky,” he grunted, sucking it up and marching over to her desk. “C’mere, I need you.”
He grabbed her by the arm, not bothering to acknowledge the weird looks and questions he got from their classmates, just dragging her out to the hallway without another word.
“Is everything okay?” she asked, her expression infuriatingly concerned for him. “What’s going on?”
There it was, the moment, he was just gonna have to say it and get it over with, hope she could move on quickly and keep her mouth shut.
“Gimme a pad or something,” he mumbled, cheeks burning. “You got some on you?”
Mina blinked at him, silent for a second, and Katsuki felt himself tensing up, bracing himself for impact.
“Not on me, I’m sorry,” she said finally. “I can run back to the dorms, or the nurse’s office usually has some.”
Katsuki hesitated again, and Mina managed a tiny, awkward smile.
“Come with me, I’ll say I need one.”
With an awkward nod, he followed her down the corridor, and Mina, to her credit, didn’t say a word about it. She just walked with him to the nurse’s office, knocking on the door and thankfully finding it devoid of students.
“Hi, Recovery Girl,” she said, giving her a sheepish smile. “My period started early and I don’t have anything on me.”
“Come help yourself,” Recovery Girl instructed, waving her toward a cupboard. “They’re on the bottom shelf, take as many as you need.”
Mina opened up the cupboard, finding a plastic container full of pads and tampons, and picking it up without an ounce of embarrassment in her face. She glanced over to make sure Recovery Girl was looking away, finding her occupied with something on a clipboard, and handed the box to Katsuki with a smile. She averted her gaze while he flicked through them, stuffing a couple of plastic-wrapped packages in his pocket to hopefully last the day, dithering before he grabbed a couple of tampons to go with them. He shoved the box back into her hands, face still burning, and she took a couple of her own, shooting Recovery Girl a smile as she held them up.
“Thanks a bunch,” she said as she put the box away, Recovery Girl turning around to smile back at her. “You’re a lifesaver.”
“Any time, dear. I still remember what it’s like, realising you’re stuck!”
“Honestly, can’t believe I forgot to replace my stock,” Mina said, chuckling. “I’ll do it as soon as I get back to my dorm!”
They fell silent again as they walked down the hall, but Mina stopped him as soon as they rounded a corner, and he cursed under his breath. He’d known it was too good to be true, but a small part of him had hoped he’d gotten away with the whole no-questions-asked thing.
“Bathroom,” she explained, nodding toward the men’s room right beside them. “These ones are further from the classroom. What do you want me to tell the others?”
Katsuki paused, and she shrugged knowingly.
“So we can have our stories straight, I mean. Probably something a little embarrassing, so they understand why you dragged me away instead of telling me in class.”
“I’m a shitty liar.”
“I know,” Mina said fondly. “How about someone from another class confessed to you and you wanted to know how to turn them down?”
“I’d tell them to fuck off.”
“True. You weren’t feeling well and wanted someone to go to the nurse with you? It’s not really a lie.”
Katsuki paused. He didn’t like the idea of his friends thinking he needed a buddy to go to the nurse with, but it was marginally better than anything else he could come up with.
“Fine,” he said. “I have an upset stomach.”
“Perfect,” Mina grinned. “I’ll head back, you take as long as you need. Unless you want me to grab you anything else? Painkillers? Um, underwear?”
“I think I’m alright,” he grumbled, face burning again. “I uh, you know. Toilet paper.”
“Oof, that’s rough. Send me a text and let me know which ones you prefer, I’ll go buy you some after school. You can pay me back later, don’t start.”
“Thank you.”
Mina smiled softly, shaking her head.
“That’s the most genuine ‘thank you’ I’ve ever heard out of you,” she said fondly. “It’s nothing, I swear. Any time, okay?”
“Yeah. Uh, you too. If you ever need anything.”
“I know, you’ve always been there for me.”
He nodded awkwardly, then ducked into the bathroom, hearing Mina’s footsteps disappear down the hallway. The bathroom was thankfully empty, with the bell about to ring, so Katsuki hurried into the stall, grimacing when he pulled his pants down. He hated everything about menstruation, from the blood to the cramps to the mood swings. Not to mention how hard it was to sleep, when he could feel it all happening, when it felt like he was going to bleed all over his sheets every time he rolled over too quickly. He wasn’t due for a week, but his stupid uterus had apparently had other plans, and he hadn’t had a chance to restock in between.
Stupid fucking body.
When he was cleaned up and safe again, he headed back to the classroom, shuffling to his desk without saying a word. Aizawa, to his credit, didn’t say a word – Mina must have talked to him, he supposed. He really did owe her one.
“Everything okay, Kacchan?” Izuku whispered, leaning forward across his desk to get close enough. “Ashido said you weren’t feeling well?”
“Stomach ache,” he explained awkwardly. “Had to get... stuff. From the nurse.”
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Izuku said sympathetically. “Do you need anything? I think I have painkillers in my bag, or I can make a run to the store after school?”
“Mina said she will.”
“That’s so nice of her! I’m glad she’s supportive. I didn’t know that she, um, knew.”
“She doesn’t. Didn’t.”
“Oh. Oh. Oh my gosh, Kacchan, I’m sorry, that must have been so hard! I’m glad she seems to have taken it well, at least. Not that I’d expect her not to! She’s a good person! A good friend!”
“Midoriya, sit down,” Aizawa said from the front of the room, making him jolt. “Bakugou will tell us if he needs to leave.”
“Sorry, Sensei!” Izuku said sheepishly, sitting back in his seat properly. “Just wanted to make sure!”
“Bakugou, you okay?” Aizawa asked pointedly.
“I’m good, got what I needed.”
“Good.”
He went back to teaching, and Katsuki cringed when he saw the instructions being written on the board. He normally loved Heroics classes, but knowing he was about to go out and run around, fighting mock villains or whatever, when he felt like shit, was not ideal.
One day he was gonna find someone with a uterus-dissolving quirk.

Izuku winced when he saw Mina arguing with her friends in the common room, arms latched over her bag to keep them out of it.
“I said I’d take him medication, not that I’d give it to you guys to go give him a hard time. I just need to borrow your room key so I can use the boys’ elevator, that’s all!”
“We know you said that,” Kirishima said slowly. “But we said we wanna go check on him too, and he won’t let us in without you!”
“Want me to take it?” Izuku offered knowingly. “You can hold them off for me.”
“I promised I’d deliver them myself, can I borrow your card?”
“Sure, but they’re gonna follow you, I don’t know how to hold them off like you do.” Izuku smiled wryly. “Did you get the ones in the blue box, by any chance? I got a whole lecture once for getting the teal box instead of blue, they looked blue to me!”
Mina blinked at him, then nodded faintly, choosing her words carefully.
“He sent me a photo of the ones he wanted,” she confirmed. “I know how picky he can be.”
“Thanks for getting them, I offered but he said you were already on the case. I know he won’t say it, but he really appreciates you! I’m sure you know what a big step it was, asking you for help.”
“Yeah,” Mina agreed, reaching into her purple backpack and pulling out a taped paper bag. “I got him a couple of snacks and things too.”
“You’re a great friend.”
She handed over the paper bag, and Izuku gave her a quick nod, ducking into the elevator to head upstairs. Sure enough, Mina managed to hold her friends back like Izuku never could have, and he breathed a sigh of relief as the elevator stopped at Katsuki’s floor, quiet and undisturbed. He hurried to Katsuki’s door, knocking quietly and hearing a frustrated groan from within.
“It’s me,” he said. “I have the stuff from Mina.”
“Ugh. It’s unlocked.”
He let himself in, smiling sadly when he found Katsuki curled up in a ball on his mattress, hugging his knees and grumbling wordlessly to himself. He locked the door behind himself, then squatted beside the bed, setting the bag down between them.
“Ashido said she got you some snacks, too,” he said. “I assume probably chocolate, she seems like the type to buy her friends chocolate when they’re menstruating.”
“This fucking sucks.”
“I know,” Izuku assured him. “Are you binding? I didn’t think you did that anymore.”
“Sometimes.”
“You should give yourself a break, while you’re alone,” Izuku pointed out. “Need a hand?”
Katsuki grumbled, but moved his arms obediently, letting Izuku peel the tight black singlet off over his head. He looked exactly the same with or without it, Izuku thought, but he knew sometimes the dysphoria hit extra hard, and it wasn’t his place to judge.
“I’m a fucking mess,” Katsuki complained, stuffing his face in a pillow.
“You’re not, you’re just having a rough time, it happens to everyone at some point.”
“I mean physically,” he clarified. “I fucking leaked everywhere during Heroics.”
“Oh crap, I’m sorry. Do you want me to put some laundry on, or something?”
“I threw my shit in to soak,” Katsuki said. “I just need a fucking shower or something and I don’t have the energy.”
“You poor thing,” Izuku said sympathetically, sitting down on the edge of the mattress and brushing hair back from Katsuki’s sweaty face. “I can give you a hand, if you want. I know you hate getting help, but I don’t mind doing it.”
“Stop being a perv.”
“I’m not,” Izuku assured him, laughing. “It’s not like I haven’t seen it all before.”
“When we were children.”
“Sure, but it’s not like you’ve changed much. If you want to stay sweaty and bloody it’s not like anyone is gonna complain, but I know you always feel a bit better after getting cleaned up.”
“I don’t need your help,” Katsuki grumbled. “Not going down to a fuckin’ communal bath right now.”
“Oh, that’s fair. Maybe just the toilet then? The bidet would at least help, right?”
“Mm.”
“Need a hand getting up?”
“No.”
“Will you accept one anyway?”
Katsuki didn’t answer, and Izuku smiled to himself, sliding an arm under Katsuki’s side to help him sit up. He avoided Izuku’s eyes as he moved, but let Izuku help him to his feet, hovering awkwardly as Katsuki plodded to the bathroom, paper bag in hand.
“Do you want a hot water bottle or something?” Izuku offered. “How are the cramps?”
“I’ve got kairo,” Katsuki answered. “It’s not doing much.”
“What else normally helps? Painkillers?”
“Hate that shit.”
Izuku dug his phone from his pocket, humming faintly as he made a search and began scrolling.
“This says drink lots of water, are you hydrated?”
“I’m always fucking hydrated.”
“Exercise?”
“I’m gonna punch you.”
“Herbal tea?”
“What do you think I am, a hippie?”
“Calcium?”
“I had cheese with lunch.”
“Magnesium?”
“Had tofu and spinach too.”
“This one says orgasms help.”
“What the fuck, nerd?”
Izuku cracked a smile, putting his phone back in his pocket and leaning back against the wall.
“Have you tried jerking off?” he suggested. “If you’ve already done everything else.”
“No, fucker, why the hell would you even ask that?”
“I didn’t know you were such a prude. Have you never played with yourself before? You’re a teenage guy, most of us do it all the time.”
“I do not want to hear that shit.”

Izuku laughed to himself, listening to the frantic spluttering that came from the bathroom, as Katsuki tried to find words.

Katsuki didn’t answer this time, so Izuku opened up his closet, pulling out a pile of old, dark towels he knew Katsuki slept on, during the worst nights. He laid one out on the bed, ready for him regardless of his response, and set the others on the floor with his water bottle, just in case. He grabbed a spare pillow, too, wrapping it in another old towel and setting it on the bed, then moved the tissues and trash bin from Katsuki’s desk, setting them beside the bed.
After a few more minutes, the toilet flushed, and a bright-red Katsuki emerged, refusing to meet Izuku’s eyes.
Thankfully, Izuku had known him long enough to understand what that meant.
“Come lie down,” he instructed, trying to keep his tone firm, but not so demanding that it would make Katsuki argue. “Get comfy for me.”
Katsuki joined him, but as he sat down, he threw a container at Izuku’s head lightly, jamming his pillow over his face when Izuku picked it up.
“You just did it, didn’t you?” Izuku asked, when he looked at the container of wet wipes. “I’ll cope with a little blood, Kacchan.”
“Shut up. Just... do it anyway.”
“Okay, okay.”
Katsuki propped his hips up on the pillow, and Izuku gently pried his legs apart, giving him space to sit in between. He saw Katsuki tense as he moved, and he slid his hand up Katsuki’s thigh, making sure he couldn’t jam them back together in a hurry.
“Tampon?” Izuku asked.
“Stop asking weird questions, creep,” Katsuki huffed. “Yeah.”
“Stop stressing then, if you do leak, it’ll be minor, and I have towels here.”
“I told you to stop being weird.”
“I’m not.”
To appease Katsuki, he plucked a couple of wet wipes from the container, giving him a gentle wipe to remove any remnants of blood that Katsuki had missed in the bathroom. He paused for a second, then moved it to his clit, pinching gently through the wet wipe and slowly sliding it up.
Katsuki hissed, hips bucking up a little, and Izuku smiled to himself, taking his time with the motions to make sure Katsuki was extra clean, before he tossed the wet wipes in the bin.
“Fucker,” Katsuki growled, when Izuku gave him a smug look. “Hormones make people horny, don’t act like you’re so amazing.”
“Not acting,” Izuku said, smirking as he lay down and got comfortable between Katsuki’s thighs. “I can blow your mind given half a chance, you gonna be a good boy for me and stay still?”
Katsuki gritted his teeth and didn’t answer, and Izuku did his best to swallow the laughter that wanted to come out. He pushed with his hand lightly, spreading Katsuki’s legs even wider, then leaned in to bite the smooth skin, relishing the hiss Katsuki let out and the way his hips bucked up again, searching.
“You like that?” Izuku asked, trailing his lips up Katsuki’s thigh and nipping at it with his teeth again lightly. “Just you wait.”
Katsuki’s chest rose and fell quickly, and Izuku took a moment to look up, making sure it wasn’t anxiety or something that had caused it. When he saw Katsuki’s head thrown back, though, with the pillow pushed aside to let him breathe easier, leaving Izuku with a clear view of his flushed face, he didn’t bother to ask. Instead, he ducked his head, running his tongue over Katsuki’s clit at a speed that was painful even for him, let alone for Katsuki, who squirmed and grasped at the sheets.

“Cramps feel a little better?” he asked, smiling to himself.
Katsuki just nodded, and Izuku tentatively reached out, resting his hand on Katsuki’s hip. He stroked back and forth lightly with his thumb, hoping to give him some kind of comfort, and for once in his life, Katsuki let it happen.
“How the fuck did you learn to do that?” Katsuki asked, when he finally found some composure again. “How many people have you been fucking?”
“None, unless handjobs count,” Izuku laughed. “I told you, I’ve wanted to try it. And I was right, it was hot as hell. I’ll be here every night until you stop bleeding, maybe I can relax you enough to get a decent night’s sleep.”
“Doubt it,” Katsuki huffed. “I hate all the leaking and shit, wakes me up every time.”
“Well then I’ll have to stay all night, so I can coax you back to sleep every time it wakes you.”
Katsuki just raised an eyebrow at him, and Izuku grinned, crawling up to lie beside him, though he left one hand pointedly between his legs. He stroked gently at Katsuki’s clit again, watching him tense up immediately, but he just continued his gentle touches, keeping him right on the edge of overwhelmed, without ever stepping over the line.
“And if it gets really bad, I’ve got another plan,” Izuku assured him.
“What kind of plan?”

Katsuki’s eyes widened, and Izuku felt muscles twitch around his hand, making his grin twist into a little smirk.

“Fuck you,” Katsuki hissed, face turning bright red again as he fumbled for his pillow to hide it.
“Sure, we can try that too. Probably between cycles though, I feel like you don’t have the energy for it right now, and it probably wouldn’t help you as much.”
“Wh— You can’t— What are you— Ugh. Shut the fuck up and just eat me out again, asshole.”
“Gladly.” Izuku laughed, sliding back down the bed and prying Katsuki’s leg aside a lot less gently this time. “But this time I’m using my fingers, too.”
“Gross.”
“It’s okay,” Izuku assured him, waving the little black container. “My new boyfriend threw wet wipes at my head earlier.”
“I never agreed to that shit.”
Izuku sucked on his clit, swirling his tongue around it firmly, stopping the moment Katsuki began to breathe harder.
“How about now?” he asked. “Do you agree now?”
“Fuck,” Katsuki hissed.
“If I make you come again will you go on a date with me?”
Katsuki opened one eye, glaring at him, and Izuku just waited patiently.
“Twice more,” Katsuki demanded, covering his blush with the pillow again. “Then we’ll talk.”
“Deal.”
