Updates - almost done. New Vhs cover
🕑 Added 2018-08-12 06:40:16 +0000 UTC Spiders is almost done, which is good because I need to wind it up. Definitely taking longer than I expected for a little side project. As usual, designing the first 80% of the game is pretty quick and easy, but pulling together all the little details takes forever.So I'm simplifying things a bit and reducing the complexity and features. Honestly, the game will probably come out better if it's tighter and more focused. Here's the new vhs cover for the menus
As far as the final version goes: long story short, I ran into a lot of problems with the pathfinding and unity navigation mesh. It definitely wasn't meant for walk and ceiling walking, so I'm kind of stretching it to the limits already. Expanding upon that hasn't worked out as well I planned.
But I have changes in mind which should work out well.

Also added the flamethrower and re-added a new enemy - the jumping spider.
The final thing will be the boss fights, some more balancing, and power ups like stronger wood boards and first aid kits. I'm expecting the full version to be out Monday or Tuesday night, so I can get back to more Stay Out of the House.
I did get some cool ideas for a serial killer game based on some of the lighting experiments I've been doing as I go. Something 2.5d first person just lends itself to creepy and surreal. Could I pull off a Maniac meets LSD Dream Emulator? You be the judge

I understand where you're coming from. I intended the game to take a week to develop at most, but it took way longer. Thankfully I'm moving back to Stay out of the House now that it's out

I disagree, It is something different and that isn't a bad thing. It doesn't mean horror games are not being made or worked on. Honestly I think people who are into this type of game will enjoy it.

It's a boring project.More like a shooter,than a horror.You should make games without weapons.I love most of your games.
