Knock, knock, knock. Tonks heard the knocks and asked, “Password?”
The Metamorphmagus heard Hazel's voice give her the code, “Sirius’ socks smell bad.”
The man at her side, Sirius black, looked affronted by this claim. “Hey! I will let you know that's not true!”
Tonks quickly opened the residence's door, and right outside was Hazel wearing a black cloak, and an older girl the same age as her wearing some exotic dress and a large witch hat.
“Hazel, quick, get in!” Sirius said as he grabbed his goddaughter and pulled her in.
Then he looked at the other girl and did the same, “You too, whoever you are.”
As she entered, the other witch smiled and introduced herself. “My name is Cirilla Luxia Andromeda, and I am Hazel's new teacher.”
Sirius looked at Hazel with a frown. “Since when?”
The redhead nodded and took off her hood. “Miss Cirilla wants me to become her apprentice, and I am thinking of accepting. She killed Bellatrix Lestrange and many Death Eaters on the way here…”
Tonks’ eyes widened in shock, and she threw herself at Hazel. “You what?! Are you okay?!”
“I'm fine.” Hazel didn't look fine, more like shellshocked.
“You killed them?” Tonk asked with a tone full of reprimand.
Cirilla smiled at her. “I'm French. When there's a Dark Lord out there, we start shooting first. None of that stunner bullshit you Brit do.”
Tonks recoiled and understood; she had heard from Moody how French people would react differently to the threat of dark wizards compared to British Magicals. “Oh, that explains it.”
Sirius didn't like that at all. “Hazel, I don't think Dumbledore would want us to kill ever-”
Hazel glared at him, interrupting him. “Fuck that old goat, Sirius! He ruined my life, and we're in this situation because of him and his bloody control fetish.”
Hazel said something that changed Tonks’ perception of her forever. “I'm glad those inbred death munching bastards are six feet under.”
In the weeks she didn't see her, Tonks realized that Hazel had grown a spine. The pink-haired ex-Aurore asked herself as she looked at the girl called Cirilla, ‘Is this because of her?’
She wasn't left to wonder more about Hazel's changes as Cirilla clapped her hands and said, “Okay, no time for silly and obvious philosophical conundrum. Let's get this show on the road, gather everyone, we're blasting off from the UK.”
Sirius and Tonks understood that they didn't have a choice and needed to get the people here out of the country. In thirty minutes, they gathered everyone in the spatially expanded ground floor of the residence. Pandora Lovegood, Remus Lupin, and Moody helped gather everyone's effects with mokeskin pouches, mainly their small effects and clothes.
Cirilla promised that on her land, they would be provided with everything they would need. Some people didn't want to leave and fight, but Cirilla knocked some sense into them by saying that it was better for them to go to France and tell their story to the ICW and raise awareness about the atrocities perpetuated by the Ministry of Magic, which has been taken over by terrorists and their partisans. They threatened the statute of secrecy as well with all their Muggle-baiting and killings.
Tonks expected the woman to turn a rope into a portkey, but her mind went completely blank when she pulled a staff out of nowhere and started chanting and poked at a wall that turned into some kind of wormhole from Star Trek.
“Let's go, everyone.” The woman was the first to enter the hole in space, and then Hazel followed her.
The example given by those two gave the impetus to everyone else to take the plunge, despite this being a new magic that they did not know. They filed in and disappeared, emptying the residence that had been their refuge for the last six months.
Tonks was the last one to enter the portal. She saw blue and white light until… She was thrown out of the portal on her feet, but she tripped over her own feet and fell on the ground. When Tonks opened her eyes, she saw that it was day and the sky was blue, and the weather was quite warm.
Around her, there was a large garden with a fountain surrounded by statues of magical beasts and warriors. Everyone stood transfixed before the most beautiful white castle with shimmering walls and roofs.
“Welcome to little Spira, everyone.” Cirilla spread her arms wide and smiled at the British refugees.

1 day later

Marseille‘s outskirts
Little Spira
“I hate to say this, but this small castle is better looking than anything the Black family has in Britain or overseas,” Sirius said as he was sitting on a lounge chair with a half-filled cold French beer can in his hand.
It's been one day since they all arrived in the nascent settlement of Little Spira in southern France. Cirilla has given everyone present access to her land and a magical tent that she was lending to each family that had come as refugees.
The refugees part of the resistance were feeling relieved to be out of Britain after those harrowing months cooped up in Grinnauld Places. Sirius remembered the lack of food, which had forced them to go out in the Muggle supermarkets, and the clogged toilets in the residence that Sirius learned to fix.
Here, everyone had their own toilet and bathroom in the tents and an abundance of food, as this strange woman, Cirilla, just created a huge vegetable garden with magic and distributed its bounties to everyone. Was she some form of magical farmer? Hazel has found a really good ally.
What was worse was the sudden influx of pregnant women in their group. All of this is due to the witches not having access to their monthly potion, even Pandora Lovegood and the young graduates of Hogwarts, like Penelope Clearwater, were pregnant.
Now they had a healer in Cirilla and planned to ask for check-ups for everyone. At the same time, the woman was teaching young Luna the healing arts.
“This is a manor, not a castle.” Hermione, who was at his side, retorted.
Sirius lowered his sunglasses on his nose and raised an eyebrow at her. “You're joking right? Look at how big this place is!”
Hermione rolled her eyes. “Mister Black, you should hear how Cirilla speaks about the place. She considers it a manor, because it's not big enough to be a castle by her standards…”
Sirius laughed and said with a joking tone, “What's big to her then? Buckingham Palace?”
But to his surprise, Hermione replied seriously, “Nope, she said it was three times the size of Buckingham Palace. She doesn't have enough land to build something as big.”
The man froze when he heard this, then he frowned as he asked, “Where does that Cirilla girl come from? She said she's French, but I never heard of a rich family named Andromeda from France.”
Hermione chuckled. “You wouldn't believe us. Anyway, this isn't important, I am reading that magic book Cirilla bought me and noticed that the French have more household magic than us.”
Sirius looked as if Hermione had betrayed him, and he said, “I disagree with that… we have the most important ones. The French Magicals are just too nitpicky and invented those!”
“Sure, Mister Black… It won't stop me from learning them. Merlin only knows that everyone needs them here.” Hermione used her wand in a precise waving motion and performed a water blasting spell that shot water at high pressure on the cobbled ground.
Sirius glared at her and whined, “You little bookworm, where's your British pride?”
Hermione didn’t look at him as she was still trying to modulate the strength of her new spell as she replied, “Nowhere to be seen, Mister Black. You know… I'm thinking about getting citizenship here and bringing my parents to open a Dental practice in Marseille.”
He couldn’t even blame the girl; many were thinking the same thing because of how the Pureblood horseshit had gotten this far and ruined everything. Many Muggle-Borns were thinking of settling outside Britain or finding a way to go back to the mundane world; he doubted they would fail, as Cirilla seemed to be predisposed to helping them.
The older wizard saw Hazel run toward them with a big smile on her face. She was wearing a short red top with white jeans; Sirius didn’t like that she showed this much skin. There were hungry wolves -read boys- her age in this camp! But he couldn’t stop smiling back at her despite his opinion on her clothing choices.
“Sirius! Come here! Miss Cirilla said that she will heal you! She can erase the dementor’s influence on your soul and body!” Hazel said as she came up to him and pulled onto his right arm.
Sirius’ eyes widened, and he followed her. “Coming right up!”
Hazel pulled her godfather toward the tent Cirilla used as a clinic; they stopped before the tent as someone he recognized, Mister Ollivander, the old wandmaker, was being checked up by Cirilla and, surprisingly, Luna Lovegood, who wore a nurse outfit.
Hazel laughed at her friend. “Look at Luna, she's using a healing spell.”
The dreamy-eyed girl waved her wand. “Libra!”
A green halo of magic surrounded Mr. Ollivander as Luna looked at him with squinted eyes. “Oh, mhhm, he lacks vitamin C, and he should drink more water.”
Ollivander chuckled. “Eh, the time in the house didn't do me any good, but we all stayed alive thanks to it.”
Luna nodded. “Indeed, Mister Ollivander.”
Sirius saw as Cirilla took a vial full of white tablets and a large bottle full of blue liquid and gave them to the old man. “Here, take those supplements and this potion, Mister Ollivander. Take one after each meal for one week, and you should be fine after that.”
The old man nodded with an appreciative smile. “Thank you, Miss Andromeda, young Lovegood.”
He left after Cirilla used a Cure spell on him, and the old man left the tent; Sirius looked as the young woman patted Luna’s shoulder and said, “You're doing great, Luna. As expected of my apprentice.”
“Hehe.” The girl had a happy expression on her face.
“You're really well suited for healing and supportive magic.” Cirilla started encouraging her student.
Sirius rolled his eyes. He knew all the tricks the teachers used to educate their students; it seemed that Cirilla had the same style of positive reinforcement as Minerva McGonagall. Luna puffed up her chest as she said, “Thank you, teacher Cirilla. I'm happy to be taught how to repel the Nargles from people's minds.”
The girl became thoughtful as she spoke aloud, “Mhm. I will need to grow orange trees to bring a source of vitamin C to this group and maybe make an orchard to give the people here something to do. Idle hands are the devil's workshop.”
Cirilla finally noticed Hazel and Sirius and turned to them; she smiled at the two. “Ah, Mister Black. You’re here, Hazel made me promise to help you get better.”
Sirius laughed and patted Hazel’s back. “This little girl is always worried about me. Well, I’m here, Doctor Andromeda. Let’s see if you can do something about me.”
Cirilla rolled her eyes, walked up to him, and said, “Come here, Mister Black.” She pulled him toward the stool in the middle of the tent with more strength than he expected from a woman of such small stature.
To hide his nervousness, Sirius started flirting with her. “Mister Black is my Grandfather, please call me Sirius.”
Cirilla laughed and slapped his arm playfully. “Let’s stay professional, Mister Black. You’re older than me.”
The girl looked barely in her twenties, she was kind of right, so Sirius stopped and stayed still as she started using that scanning spell he had seen Luna use. In the end, Cirilla decided to keep him there in the tent after becoming visibly alarmed. She bombarded him with healing spells to repair his soul and body, and Cirilla swore that she was going to destroy the Dementors once and for all, as they were an affront to life and death.
Sirius lost consciousness after that and only woke late in the night, feeling refreshed and less manic than before; he could focus more, and thinking about his chosen family didn’t just throw him into a rage. Sirius could finally focus on every little thing he had missed since he was reconnected with Hazel and understood that he had fucked up by trusting Dumbledore, a man who did more bad than good.
He had sat up on the bed, and it attracted the attention of Cirilla, who had been making potions. “Hey there, are you alright?”
Sirius sighed. “I don't know? Physically, I feel like I'm back in my twenties, before being thrown in the slammer. But here, in my head, I saw what I did that fucked up my life and Hazel's.”
The girl shrugged and patted his shoulder. “Then you only need to do better, Sirius.”
Then she abruptly told him, “Now, get out of here, the clinic is closed. Those are your potions, you must take them every day in the morning.” She handed him a basket full of filled potion bottles and ushered him outside.
Sirius chuckled. The woman wasn't one to coddle anyone, it seemed.

Back with Cirilla…
Two weeks later
I learned the magic system of this world by copying the memories of the Death Eaters I have captured and imprisoned in my dimensional prison. Potions were fascinating and versatile, and frankly, the part of the magic system I liked the best in this world.
It made me want to stay here and try new experiments, or maybe I should use this place as a hub world for my travels? It could certainly help to have a port of call.
Potion to heal, replenish blood, or for skin care, or for simple regeneration… everything was possible. I frankly took my prisoners’ knowledge and killed them, turning them into ashes when I couldn't bring anything else from them. Using their knowledge as a springboard, I started expanding on it thanks to the books that I bought from place cachée; I emptied all the bookshops there to build my small library. I couldn't wait to pillage the books at Hazel's old school.
But despite having found a new hobby, I have a mission to fulfill in this world. That is why I decided to gather everyone in the camp I have created, with all the people that I continued to pull from Britain; there were almost three hundred people in Little Spira.
I looked at the time and I realized that it was quite late; I didn't see the time pass. Using the Gatom spell, I teleported to my bedroom in the white manor, and my spirit servants brought me some clothes.
I put on a purple camisole and dark blue jeans that I charmed to be auto-cleaning, tear-resistant, and with an expanded pocket with a purple hooded silk cloak, as the night was a bit chilly. I really like how versatile the magic of this world is, allowing me to have pockets! I checked myself in the mirror and I was looking good.
Once I was ready, the blue light of the Gatom spell took me outside. I created a small podium in the tent that I used as a Mess Hall for the refugees, and used sound magic to attract everyone's attention by mimicking the sound of a bell. When all the witches and wizards gathered, I used a spell to amplify my voice. “Everyone, now that everyone has been situated, a meeting has been called. We need to decide what shall be done with the situation in Britain.”
“There will be food and drinks for everyone. Let's have a feast.” Then I snapped my fingers, and tables laden with food and drinks appeared on each side of the huge tent.
Everyone cheered, or at least the children and teenagers did; the adults were more reserved, but they all partook in the feast.
Mr. Moody, Tonks, Mr. Ollivander, Mrs. Pandora, and her husband, Mr. Xenophilius Lovegood, as well as Mr. Diggory, were chosen to be the ones who would speak for all the Refugees, so I made a round table with Iris and let everyone sit around it.
Amos Diggory was the first to speak as he said, “Thank you for all your help, Miss Andromeda. We're all thankful that you helped get us out of this hell.”
I put my tankard of butterbeer before me and replied, “You're welcome, it was the right thing to do. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men and women to do nothing, and I wasn't about to let those magico-anarchists win.”
A dish filled with lasagna appeared before me, thanks to the spirits, making me smile. But it wasn't yet time to eat as I looked at Mister Diggory. “But what's next?”
Xenophilius was the one to reply; he had the same dreamy look as his daughter on his face. “We intend to go to the French Ministry and petition their help to contact the ICW and take back our country.”
I heard determination in his voice, and I can understand the small bit of anger there; the Death Eaters burned down his house and his business place. I nodded to him and said, “This time, I hope you won't let those people go with bribing and lying under oath. That pure blood nonsense needs to stop.”
Amos slapped the table with fury. “You're right, this time they will all get the axe.”
I pulled a manila folder filled with papers from my expanded pocket and threw it at the center of the table. “Excellent, I have done some research on the Death Eaters, their magic, and their mark, and I also have a list of all their names and those that support them; I will give you everything you need to get rid of them.”

(General POV)
December 18th, 1997
Cirilla came into the French Ministry of Magic as a concerned citizen assisting the refugees that she helped smuggle out of the British Isles. They first went to the Department of Immigration to explain the presence of over 300 British Magicals in France on Cirilla’s property.
It momentarily put Cirilla in hot water with the French Ministry, but they succeeded in explaining what was going on in Britain and that all the Refugees escaped certain death by fleeing their homes.
After several meetings with Immigration and the French Aurores, they finally met with the Ministère de la Magie. Cirilla had to explain how she transported everyone in France and showed her portal magic, which the French minister took seriously as it was undetectable and could transport a large amount of people and goods.
Cirilla didn't care as it wasn't a restricted spell, and when she showed the formula, the French expert in spatial magic couldn't even power it, as to them, the spellwork was akin to an eldritch magical ritual. They understood how dangerous Cirilla was when she could power the spell and leaked a bit of her magic, which made the building tremble a bit.
They stopped bothering Cirilla after this and focused on the refugees’ representative, who had started reporting what was happening in Britain by sharing their memories and using veritaserum. Things went fast after that as the International Confederation of Wizards was contacted and their representatives came to look at the report and question the witnesses.
It wasn’t a surprise that the ICW became alarmed when they saw wizards and witches attacking mundane neighborhoods or placing the families of Muggle-borns and the wizards or witches they produced into concentration camps similar to those in Auschwitz. One week later, they sent people to covertly infiltrate Magical Britain and witnessed the folly of the dark wizards who were now in control and threatened to break the statute of secrecy.
The Death Eaters supporters in power enacted an even more rigid hierarchical system and introduced slavery laws for all Muggleborns. The economy was in shambles, and the Wizengamot was preparing for an assault on Gringotts to put the goblins under their power.
The ICW couldn’t have that, even more so when the English Government was starting to ask questions and was preparing to bomb Wizarding areas if nothing was done when they were contacted about what was happening.
Thanks to Amos Diggory giving them a large file with all the members who joined the Terrorist organization called the Death Eaters and their supporters, they knew who was who. Thus, a large multi-national strike team was organized by the ICW to arrive on Britain’s shore and perform a blitzkrieg destined to take down the hostile forces, while the Mundane government would support the ICW’s force with squib soldiers and intelligence agents who could see magical phenomena.
This had surprised the ICW and French government, as the mundane were resourceful enough to employ those who were still tangentially connected to the magical world and knew how they operated. Since World War II, the mundane world has sought to protect itself from the magical world and its creatures, who heavily abuse their power to control the minds of the people. It is a natural progression of the Mundane adaptation against threats that they barely understand; they seek out marginalized members of the magical world and ‘hire’ them to handle the problems brought to them by the magical side.
While the ICW planned while freaking out about the mundane intelligence agencies, Cirilla and her apprentices Hazel, Hermione, Luna, and Neville accompanied by Sirius and Bill Weasley went back to Britain and looked for certain trinkets that they found and placed the soul shards of Voldemort in the pendulum that Cirilla had created when she first came to this world. They were so easy to locate that Hazel asked herself how they didn’t find them before; Cirilla just did a general research on the life of Tom Marvollo Riddle and guessed where all the Horcruxes were.
Cirilla planned to banish the shards back in the afterlife with a snap of her fingers, but she gave an option to Hazel, who smirked evilly when she learned what Cirilla wanted to do. Death, after all, wasn’t a punishment big enough for Tom Marvolo Riddle Jr.
