Callisto 0.3 - Week 17 Update
🕑 Added 2020-02-21 02:42:27 +0000 UTCBeen a hard week, but a very productive week. As an update to the hit list items:
- Main Story Renders - Rendering the final image now. Lots of emissives in it so it will be a little over an hour more.
- Main Story Ancillary Renders - Completed
- Kara Combat Training - Completed
- Coding Central - Code has been fully written, now I just have to play test and tweak.
- Music - Have accessed all of the music I require, just need to assign the last couple tracks.
- Sound Effects - Still to be done, however it's only 3 variants of a single noise clip.
- Lia Lewd Interface - All done and tested. Went far better than expected and from start to finish only took me about a day. If it proves popular, I'll extend to cover every romance-able character in the game. I'll create a poll about this at some point.
In addition to the above, I have also changed Lia's working outfit. The old saboteur outfit had horrific clipping issues, significant hard drive space usage and in close up the textures were poor. I have replaced this with a variant of the Stealth Siren outfit. Whilst the saboteur outfit will still be present in the game, once you hit a point in story line progression the Stealth Siren outfit is used. As this required the re-rendering of a number of old scenes, I also took the opportunity to tweak the Lia character shape slightly. I have widened the waist and reduced the shoulder width as the original character looked really unnatural in some renders. The change is not severe and I suspect nobody would have noticed if I didn't mention it. As a preview, here is what the new outfit and body shape looks like.
I'm expecting that the music / sound effects will take about a day, another day for the hint system, followed by the internal de-bugging / tweaking which should be about another 2-3 days. So things going to plan the beta should be out to $10 Patreons roughly mid-next week. As another little sneak peak a render I did last night.
Following the release of the beta I will be still adding items to flesh out the content. These will however just be interactions on the ship using existing images. Things like some dialogue at the kitchen table or the lounge.
