Callisto v0.50 - Week 23 Update
🕑 Added 2020-12-04 08:58:58 +0000 UTCHappy to report that I have completed all of the content within v0.50, including coding and personal testing. I am currently uploading to allow the development team to do quick once over of the content added since the last beta. This will see the the full version available to $5 / $10 Patreons in a little over a day. It will be available to $1 Patreons a few days after this.
Most of the work I have been doing over the past few weeks is on the side mission. Wound up being a little larger than expected, at 350 images and 4 animations, however I believe the additional effort was worthwhile. The side mission is heavily branching and the choices you make will have consequences in later versions of the game. It has also been added to the replay system, so you can try out the options you didn't select on the first pass.
The work on v0.50 has taught me that I tend to bite off a little too much in terms of content to be included in each version. Within v0.50, I included 3 new mechanisms; lewd interface, relationship wheel and the strip club. This extended the development time beyond what I would hope for each version. With the exception of adding the dance animations to the strip club, there are no additional mechanisms currently planned for the game. This means that future versions will focus primarily on the main story line.
Next week I plan to formalise the overall Callisto plot outline and also the more detailed plot for v0.60. This will allow the development team to provide feedback on where the game is headed and also provide the framework for the scripting for the next version. Once the script is locked down, I will once again do a schedule for v0.60. Not only does it give you the Patreon a clear indication on how things are going, it also provides a stick to keep me churning out the content each week. You can expect this early next year, once I have finished the scripting / coding for v0.60.
Thanks for your support,
