Callisto v0.60 Update - Week 2
🕑 Added 2021-01-22 11:27:53 +0000 UTCQuick update as to how things have been going over the last week. The pole dancing animations have been rendering nicely and should be finished some time tomorrow. Due to the nature of the animation (transparent), I have to render both a colour render and an opacity render. Thankfully, due to design, the rendering speed is blisteringly fast, with about 40 seconds per frame for the colour render and 20 seconds per frame for the opacity render. What this means, is that if I elect to add more dancers in future, rendering time will not be an issue. All up there is about 7 minutes of animations across 5 dancers. Have to say they are looking really good, however I may not be the most impartial judge.
In the goal of transparency, progress over the past week has been less than what I hoped. As the office in my apartment isn't air conditioned and we are currently going through a heat wave, it is blisteringly hot during the afternoon. This has cut down on development time over the past week. Thankfully, the weather next week is looking far more moderate. I have still been doing some planning work and have a piracy / salvage plan out to the development team for comment.
One of the other things I have been discussing with the development team is the plan for Tanya moving forwards. Whilst the central girls (Kara / Lia / Tiffany) development has been planned out, the same degree of development has not been undertaken to date for Tanya. I have a couple of ideas, however will be seeking feedback in relation to how much of an priority she is in comparison with the other girls. As always, if you have any queries, hit me up on Discord.

Thanks for the feedback Verrocchio. The dancing animations was a task I set for myself in order to improve my skills. They are now fully complete and implemented into my live version of the game. You will be happy to hear, that moving forwards, the main story will take centre stage in game development.

Hi Xav, it might be useful to ask if people prefer animation over other aspects of the game. I can tell it is a big commitment on you end. I personally prefer more content with the girls on the ship and the main story. Of course, you should definitely do this if this is something you truly want to do.
