OVERBREED EPISODE 0 IS DONE! On my end, anyways.
I am currently waiting on my sound designer to finish up his side of things. It's taking him a bit longer than most videos, because of just how heavily reliant on sound design this project is. It's probably the most ambitious ask of him I've done to date.
Then throw into the mix that he started up a new semester of university less than a week before I approached him with the draft cut, and he's had his hands full the past few weeks.
He's hoping to get me a first draft before the day's out, though. We set our deadline to be the 25th, and it seems like he's committed to getting the draft done before then. We'll probably do a few cycles of back and forth once his first draft is handed in, adjusting things like volume mixing and sound clarity (he has a tendency to make the music and ambiance overly loud for my tastes, to the point it's distracting).
But, with any luck, the next message you'll see from me here on Patreon will be the official release of Episode 0!
A friendly reminder that EPISODE 0 WILL NOT HAVE EARLY ACCESS. I explained why in this Tweet thread, but the summary of it is that because Episode 0 isn't a traditional video, with only little lewd action in it (between 14% and 7% of its runtime is lewd, depending on if you want to consider audio and video to be separate components), I don't feel comfortable putting it early access, because FOMO is a very real phenomenon and I don't want people to drop money they otherwise wouldn't drop to watch it early and then be disappointed.
Instead, Episode 0 will have its public 720p, $10 1080p, and $15 2160p all drop at the exact same time. The intent is for people to watch it publicly on 720p, and then decide for themselves if they think it's worth the higher resolutions and image quality.
Of course, you all who are already 1080p and 2160p Patrons can just watch it in those resolutions first. You've already got the access, after all.
In the meantime, I have been and will continue to use the time I wait for my sound designer to catch up on things long overdue. I intended to spend the past 2 days finally getting the Claire/Jill on-stream video fully transcribed, so we can finally get it voice-acted and finished. But then it came to my attention that my Elizabeth model needed some fixing, and then quickly fell apart into a 2-day adventure of completely rebuilding her from scratch, fixing existing outfits, and building an entirely new one for her.
But Elizabeth is finally done proper*, so I can properly sit down and transcribe the Claire/Jill video. That is my immediate plan. Farther out, I also need to start putting together material for the next batch of minivids. Once September rolls around, I want to quickly get the October minivid animated and get it into the voice-recording pipeline. Which means I need to figure out what the October minivid is.
That's all for now, everyone! Until next time, which will hopefully be the Episode 0 triple-release!
*There is a potential issue I need to resolve with her new lip materials causing Z-fighting in certain scenarios. I encountered and resolved it in testing, but I've already gotten a few reports of it as well. I should look into a proper solution of this, but hopefully I can at least take a few days to finish Claire/Jill before hopping back into working on Elizabeth again.
