Progress Report - March 13, 2023
🕑 Added 2023-03-14 04:15:12 +0000 UTCHello, everyone!
Been a while since I've actually made a Progress Report on time. Gonna try to keep things brief today, just as a fun writing exercise.
Primordium is quickly approaching the finish line! Last Saturday's stream saw us basically finish the tavern sequence for a 4k render, and I finished it up off-stream (nothing of note was done, just a lot of repetitive application of jitter; the only reason it wasn't done on stream is I had social obligations elsewhere). The 4k render will happen overnight tonight, and the 4k render of the Scholar sequence has already been done. Meaning that all that's left is the sex sequence itself. It is entirely possible that Primordium Episode 1 will be ready for its final 4k render by the end of next Saturday, a full 2 weeks ahead of what I was anticipating.
Claire/Jill is making progress. I currently have about 8.5 minutes of the 22-minute runtime detailed, and am jumping into the first full sex sequence. In general, sex sequences detail a lot faster than non-sex sequences, because they already have the bodies fully in motion. Narrative sequences are roughly blocked out, meaning I have to add a lot of natural body motion. Sex sequences are already fully animated though, meaning I only need to tweak the existing motion. And Claire/Jill has a highly-segmented narrative structure, meaning that there's either a lot of talking and no sex, or a lot of sex and no talking. Guest director Dr Javi didn't subscribe much to the dirty talk ethos, so the talking-while-fucking that is my signature isn't very prevalent in it. All of which means that I should be able to get through the next few minutes of runtime much quicker than anything that's come before.
Corsair has had its first stab at a storyboard started, as this week's Patreon post suggests. It's still very early and hasn't really had anything happen yet, and I honestly don't know exactly where I am going with it. Taking an organic approach to storyboarding it, which has its ups and downs. I suspect the storyboard is going to get broken down and recycled into a new revision, once it's written out. You can check out the storyboard by clicking here or downloading it off the bottom of the post.
Overbreed Episode 1 has had its storyboard continued slightly, but not enough since the last preview posted here to show an update on (like, less than 10 new shots were added). I actually had a lot more work done, but then decided to scrap virtually all of it and start over. Amusingly, all of that work was done on the pretense of "I am going to jump off the rails I had set up, and write a different path" only for that path to meander and eventually end up going back onto the rails anyways, and being worse for the meandering. So I jettisoned the meandering and just went back to the already-written path.
The Autoreleaser is currently partially broken on the uploading end. I put together a new SFM tool and meant to share it with everyone, but the uploader exploded all over itself. Right now I am focusing on Claire/Jill, since I've spent too much time on the autoreleaser as is. I might spend Thursday on it, which is my day off. I might not. The tool isn't essential and is really rather niche, but it's a long-overdue overhaul to an old tool I released in 2016, so I still feel kinda bad about it. Alas, it is what it is.
Say hello to Princess Kaeleen
Last week, I mentioned how I had some loose thoughts for making another original character, this time as a spiritual replacement for Princess Zelda, on account of the fact Zelda is just actually rather difficult for me to write interesting stories about.
Well, I pulled the trigger on those loose thoughts, and Kaeleen here is the result.
I have a full-throated story arch in mind for her, with the broad strokes all drafted out. For now, all I'll share is that her debut project will explore the fact she is a high-level empath, capable of reading others' feelings and desires. This is brought to the forefront with her first appearance at a gala attended by humans, whom she was insufficiently forewarned are notoriously terrible at guarding their feelings, unlike Elves.
Needless to say, one quick read of the room reveals that every single human in attendance wants to fuck her brains out. And despite Elvish culture being notoriously prudish, she can't help but get turned on by all the attention. I'll leave where the story goes from there up to your imaginations, though I suspect none of you will accurately foresee the full journey that her attending this one gala will ultimately lead her onto.
Hopefully in the coming weeks I'll be able to start slowly putting together a storyboard for her, in my downtime before bed.
That's all for now, though. Until next week, everyone!

Another informative and fun update! Congrats on all the hard work; can't wait to see the results. Hellllloooooooo Princess Kaeleen (in Animaniacs-style)!! Can't wait for her undoubted descent into some hardcore sexual deviancy. ;)

Haha the humor in your writing is always appreciated! thanks for the update. Corsair and Primordium are already top of the anticipation list. Loved seeing the storyboard for Corsair. Artemis looks terrific 👍
