Progress Report - December 13, 2023
🕑 Added 2023-12-14 02:29:38 +0000 UTCHello, everyone.
I meant to get this post out yesterday, in a bid to slowly correct the Progress Reports drifting. But by the time it was finally done, it was just too late. Then I've just been too busy today to post this any sooner.
But yeah. You might be wondering, where's Brigitte, DVa, and Zarya?
Long story short is I shelved that project for now.
Long story long is I literally rewrote it 8 different times, but I just cannot find an iteration I am happy with. I have too many ideas for it, too many ways it could go, and none of them gel with each other. I think that, given enough time and no pressure, I could untangle it and get a good project out of it. However, I do not have enough time and I do have pressure, and so for now, I am just going to come back to it later.
Most of the past week was spent constantly rewriting that project. However, in the end, I decided to go for another project idea I've had for a long time now. I think I've brought it up before. And if not, well, I've been wanting to do something with Futashep and bimbo crew for a long time now.
And as you can see, I actually have a fully-formed idea for this one.
Now, what we have here is what I call the SHL, the Super High Level storyboard. It has no sense of timing or actual dialogue, which is why it's a static image layout rather than an animation like the other storyboards I've shared in the past.
But with the SHL done, I now have a firm direction of where things need to go. Next up is building the actual storyboard and writing it all out.
I do want to note, though, that I fear this SHL might be a bit too dense for a 5-minute video. I might have to end up cutting things. We'll see. For right now, I am going to build the storyboard uncompromised, let it run however long it wants to run. Once it's done, we can figure out what to do with it: if it's too long, then we can figure out what to cut. And if it's too short, which I doubt, then we can figure out how to extend it.
As always, the goal for these minivids is maximum of 5 minutes.
Would love to hear peoples' opinions on this piece. And whilst you write out those comments, I am jumping right into building the storyboard. I am hoping it will go relatively quickly, since I already have the major poses made - it's just a matter of animating them, figuring out camera angles, and working out the actual dialogue.
That's all for now. Until next week, everyone!

Unfortunately, no. It just became too unwieldy. Perhaps I will one day revisit the idea and rebuild it from the ground up in Unreal, though. We will see how the on-stream game goes and how I feel about working in Unreal in general. But that's currently not in the cards any time soon.

Any chance you will go back and work on the futashep visual novel? it not been updated since august 26 2022. I really was looking forward to it.

Thanks for update. Can't wait to see FemShep using the bimbofied sluts in her crew. Miranda looks perfect! She was always meant to be a bimbo sexdoll. She's finally achieved that goal. ;)
