Hey all! I'm floating the idea of a cameo spot in 'HeartTheft' here first, since you're all the ones keeping the lights on <3 I've gotten a few questions about this via streams, and yes, I'm definitely interested in taking one for this book.
Cameos really help support the novels while they're in-progress, since I have to put aside a lot of time to work on writing. I've gotten pretty comfortable with my ability to thread characters into the narrative over the years. I wouldn't do it if they felt forced, but you guys have been so excellent to work with!
The cameo spot in HeartTheft would feature your character as an informant, either in the underground antiquities trade, as a Huudari or Cathazra merchant, or a Templar double agent working to crack a conspiracy within the Amurescan Church of the Faith. I'm up for other ideas too, if you've got some concept about how your particular character could aid Isidor and Darcy.
This cameo spot comes with an important role in one chapter (possibly more than one, but at least the one) and one guaranteed spot in an illustration, likely alongside either Isidor or Darcy, or both of them. The illustration is my choice and will feature a scene from the story, but I'm willing to work with you on how you're portrayed in it. I'm generally very flexible and willing to work with your ideas, within reason.
The cameo character MUST be-
An Adult (no child characters)
A Carnivorous or Omnivorous species, to suit the setting. No avians, cetaceans, no cold-blooded species unless you'd like to design your own Cathazra, please ask about any species you think may not work in the RL world
Hair must be in a 'mane' style, if it's part of your character design. This is another world-specific design thing, no offense meant
Natural colors for your species, or willing to explain away unusual colors with dye (I am flexible on Cathazra characters here, I've never specified they are all red or blue)
It's also worth noting here, I will be happy to design a Cathazra character for you for this spot if that's what you choose. This will not include extra art save the illustration that comes with the chapter, but the character is yours to use afterwards, commission art of, etc. (even a suit I guess? that'd be wild)
I figured I'd drop this here before we head out to Anthrocon, and see if anyone here is interested. But if there's no interest by next week, I'll move this public. I always try to give you guys first grab.

It's kind of an unwritten rule of the RL setting, it's how I justify there being beasts of burden, horses, etc., without the issue of there also being horse or cow people. Protein = higher brain function, is the BS argument. It's honestly just an arbitrary rule I use so that I don't have to contend with the above issue
