Quick overview of the situation: Drake has been in disagreements with SEVERAL rappers/singers and people in general...Pusha T, Common, Pharrell, the Weeknd, Asap Rocky (Rihanna), and Alexis Ohanian (Serena Williams husband) to name a few. Kendrick isn't lying about Drake...he's a poet/storyteller so it's creative but he's mentioning the industry rumors (GROOMING young girls like Billie Eilish when she was 17 and Millie Bobby Brown when she was 14) that have been going for a while because he has inside knowledge about him and his associates: Partynextdoor, Chubbs, Baka. This is just like the rumors on Diddy and R Kelly that were ignored until after they were convicted. If anything, he might be saving Drake from falling into the same behavior before it's too late. There's no denying that Drake has hit songs, but after Pusha T revealed he had a secret son, Drake doubled down on misogny with Certified Lover Boy (2021). Then when Beyonce released Act 1: Renaissance in 2022 (all House Music as a tribute to her uncle) Drake wrote one of her songs and used that inside knowledge to release his House album 'Honestly Nevermind' before her, which upset a lot of people. He continued the misogyny with 'For All the Dogs' and truly, Kendrick is speaking up for many people, especially women that were harmed by Drake. A quiet settlement sounds like trying to save face. Of course people can enjoy whatever they want to enjoy, but I hope everyone understands that Kendrick really is speaking for the majority in the culture that recognizes a dangerous pattern of 9f behavior. Even his Super bowl message was related to racial inequality, our country being divided and standing up for what is right despite the consequences.

I age myself here, but I’ve always considered Drake as “rap-light”. Partly because he transitioned from being a successful pop singer. He never felt really authentic. That’s why it’s angered me to no end the backlash BTS’ rap line gets as not being authentic rap. During Suga’s US tour, for example, he broke a number of concert records that were disputed.
