What are the core advantages of the US? 1/ Have the best talents over 8 billion people to contribute here instead of relying on only 340 million people 2/ a currency that they can seemingly print however much they want and control and monitor who can access it globally 3/ ability to project power globally through its alliance network 4/ soft power? To retain these advantages you will 1/ make foreigners feel welcome living in the US 2/ maintain trust in the reliability of the US trade and financial system 3/ be a reliable partner in your global alliance 4/ maintain moral high ground? These are advantages built over many decades, they will not disappear overnight. But without question they are being eroded.
