One Tree Hill 5X10: Running to Stand Still

First this bitch jumps naked into the shower with Nathan, then he refuses to get out, then she tells Haley that she and Nathan love each other, then she tells Jamie that she wishes he was her son and that she has to leave because Haley hates her. Then she fucking doubles down on the fact that she and Nathan are in love. She's fucking psychotic.
And Jamie is pissed at Haley for all this! (I do not blame Jamie, he's four, but this just adds to Haley's heartbreak over the situation. It killed me when he said he wished Nanny Carrie was his momma.
Plus, Rachel is back. And has totally ODed in Brooke's apartment. Thankfully, bartender guy (no, I have no idea what his name is) seemed to know what to do and handled the situation well, but now we've got this to deal with as well. Especially since Brooke is taking Rachel back to Tree Hill to help her get sober. That's gonna be fun.
How the hell is Dan up for parole already? It's only been five years. And he murdered his brother in cold blood. What kind of legal system is this? Luke's speech was top notch (minus the Nathan stuff, but I don't blame either one of them for that), but I don't think it's gonna help. I assume they are going to let him out because if they deny parole, he's not up for another five years and the show will be over. (And he's still in the main title credits).
Um, how is Lucas' wedding next week? They've only been engaged for like, a day and a half?!?
And of course, the worst part of the episode. I don't even know exactly what Naley were fighting about at the end of the episode as I was so focused on Jamie, but I assume it was about Carrie kissing him. While this is going on, Jamie ends up falling in the pool and almost dies. Nathan pulls him out, Haley grabs him and hugs him while she cries and then tells Nathan she wants a divorce. Don't like this at all.
Side note: this thumbnail was so hard to choose! It was between this and Haley throwing Carrie out of the bathroom by her hair. Lol.

Excellent choice with the thumbnail, although you totally could have gone with Haley throwing the skank out by her hair, lol....and that would have been awesome too. That ending coda might just be one of my all-time favorite coda's of the entire series just because of the weight and magnitude of the scenes between NHJ. It truly was amazing and gut-punching to watch all at the same time. Talk about your angst and emotions reaching a 10+ here. If you get a chance...go back and rewatch and pay attention to Naley's fight now that you know Jamie is okay, hehe, because it's so damn intense!!! You have things building throughout the entire episode between Naley with the sweet moment at the beginning between father and son and Nathan and Jamie being so excited to see Haley only to find out they beat her home...which then leads to the build-up of the psycho jumping into the shower with Nathan and Haley throwing them both out, to Naley's conversation the next day when Nathan still wasn't being truthful with Haley and telling her everything, to then what leads to that intense fight scene and Jamie almost drowning at the end. Gosh it was all acted and directed so damn great. So proud of all my favorite players...and how amazing was Jackson as well. He's incredible in this role. Side note.... Joy got so fired up in several takes that she actually slapped the crap out of James in service of Haley, lol, and he said it was always one of his favorite Naley moments, lol, because it was so real, raw, and organic. Too bad they didn't end up using any of those takes but I think you can find those outtakes on the deleted scenes for that episode. And yes...Haley blurting out at the end to stay away from her and Jamie and that she wants a divorce was a gut-punch to hear and for sure an emotional response, but I don't blame her one bit. She feels so hurt and betrayed, and now their son almost drowns because she's having to have a brutal argument with her husband over his lying and omitting of facts yet again, and on the heels of everything that has happened this season with Nathan's accident and his behavior, you can see that Haley has finally reached her breaking point. I totally understand her reaction and poor Haley is all I can say. But gosh....The JL's so rocked those scenes, hands down!!! And speaking of intense scenes...the Brooke, Own, and Rachel stuff was completely unexpected and riveting for a completely different reason, and now we have Rachel coming back to Tree Hill with Brooke.....so stay tuned, hehe. And I also loved the Nathan/Lucas stuff with Dan. It just reiterates the huge difference in how Lucas and Nathan handle and deal with Dan. It's much easier for Lucas to turn his back and never think of Dan again...but Nathan can't do that. He's still his father and the one that raised him, so Dan's hold over Nathan is always going to be a present thing that Lucas doesn't quite have to deal with in the same manner.

For the Dan prison sentence thing, 5 years is super short but since he confessed to the crime and wasn't even being investigated for it, his lawyers would've been in the drivers seat in terms of what he ended up pleading guilty for, so he probably pled guilty to second degree murder and then received a shorter sentence due to remorse and turning himself in. Obviously 5 years is still super short for those circumstances and its tv convenience, but it makes more sense thinking of all of that

And even though Rachels never been my favourite character I did really feel for her this episode. And I dont think Dan served enough time for what he did and hope they don't let him out but who knows. Like both your kids don't like you at all and you literally killed one of sons father figure which was about to adopt them like dont expect any sort of redemtion from Lucas.

I have been waiting for this episode. Fuck Nanny Carrie I wish nothing but the worst for her and hope for her swift and immediate downfall. im just worried for Haley and Nathans future aswell as Jamie and his wellbeing after all this as well as Haley's welbeing because she has been through soooo freaking much this season and i think caching her husband with that Bitch i the shower tipped her over the edge but i mean who wouldnt react that way if they saw there man with the nanny in that situaution with practically zero context. The only innoccent adult person reagrding the whole Nanny Carrie situaiton is defiently Haley no question about it and the one i feel the most for. And the fact that this bitch turned up to Jamie's school to manipulate him agaisnt his own mother was sooo fucked up like talk about two faced delusions. YOU-WILL-NEVER -BE-HIS-MOTHER-YOU-BITCH. I feel like that Bitch saw a vulnerable depressed Nathan and decided to take adavantage of that by swooping in and trying to be saviour which is really fucked becuase i think the delusions in her where really making her believe that Nathan was actually into her when he clearly wasnt but defiently enetertained her advances towards him a little too freaking long for my own liking as someone who really loves his character as i feel he should have said something to Haley as soon as she made her clear (and by clear i mean her basically tellig him she wanted him) first advancements in the tric bar episode. i feel like if they were to call the police on her she could be charged with 2 counts of clear sexual assualt as she kissed Nathan without his consent at all and then proceded to sexually assualt him in the shower touching him sexually whilst naked without his consent again but then again when this show was airing they had a hard time believeing female Sexaual assault vicitms let alone male sexual assualt victims.
