The Vampire Diaries 1X2: The Night of the Comet
🕑 Added 2024-07-11 20:00:05 +0000 UTCUgh. I can already tell that I'm going to spend a ton of time screaming at Damon in the future. He seems like a character who's just here to fuck shit up. And they drive me crazy! I'm hoping that he turns into a bit of a more complex villain over time. I love a good villain, but he seems a little one note, as of yet.
But I will admit, it is fun to watch him and Stefan in the same scene. Mostly because I'm rooting for Stefan to kill him, but still. Lol.
I cannot figure out of vampires are known in this universe or not. The vampires keep talking about how the town will found out vampires are 'coming back' to Mystic Falls. That implies that they knew they've been there before. Plus, on the roof, with Vicky, Stefan is concerned that Damon will expose him. Why would you think that people would ever believe someone is a vampire unless vampires are known to exist?
Anyway, Vicky is out of the hospital and Damon immediately attacks her again. He's threatening (I think) to throw her off a roof. Stefan rushes up to help and Damon demands he feed from her. When he refuses, Damon glamours (is that what we're calling it in this universe?) her into believing that Stefan attacked her and tells him he'll have to kill her not to be exposed. Stefan is distraught and Damon just goes ahead and re-glamours her into believing it was an animal attack. Eventually, they are gonna have a hunt in this town to kill every animal if Damon keeps biting people and convincing them they are attacked by animals.
Elena basically ends up confessing her feelings to Stefan and they kiss. It's a pretty nice moment. But I might be biased. I love a good vampire/human relationship.
And we end with Damon being back to his old tricks. He and blonde girl (the one whose name I don't know but is jealous of Elena because Stefan wanted her) are in bed having sex (about to have sex?) and he just goes ahead and bites the hell of out her. Fun!
