9-1-1 4X5: Buck Begins
🕑 Added 2024-08-07 21:14:36 +0000 UTCNot me randomly guessing at some point that I had Buck to save the other child. 😳 But I didn't actually think that. It was just a random passing thought. And then it was real?!? How was that a real thing? And after learning that, he still forgives his parents so quickly! I'd be so much more upset.
I loved (but also hated, you know) the scene where Buck was sending postcards. He sounded so happy and joyous. But having to watch Maddie read them while constantly being bruised and scratched up was so sad. They were living so opposite lives at the time.
And then later, when we find out why she didn't leave with Buck as planned. And she looked like she was used as a punching bag (because she was), was awful. And Buck never knew. God I fucking hate Doug. I'm so glad he's dead.
Also love that we to see Buck's first day on the job again. I forgot how much lovelier it was for Buck as opposed to Hen and Chim.
Plus, Athena showing Buck was love too was nice. This would not have been her reaction to Buck refusing to evacuate and staying to find and last victim in S1.

good job on your guesses! you got closer than a lot of us did. omg that buck/maddie montage at the end always breaks me 😭 i love them so much! i love this show but the way they have these characters constantly forgive their shitty parents is my biggest pet peeve. sometimes people don’t have a relationship with their biological family and that’s okay, they deserve better. for a show about found family, it’s awfully annoying about blood family.
