Stranger Things 3X2: Chapter Two: The Mall Rats

Does he have any sense of reality? Why is the sun hurting him right now? What is happening?? (As per usual, don't actually tell me. Lol.)
Could I have loved Hopper's happiness after getting Mike to tell El he couldn't hang out today any more than I did? No, I don't think I could have. And him coming to Joyce to tell him his plan worked perfectly? Gold. Did he do any of this correctly? No, he did not. Do I care? Also, no. That said, this whole thing is gonna blow up in his face, but right now, I'm here for manic, happy Hopper.
And then Joyce stood him up for their 'date.' I don't think she actually meant to, but got distracted trying to figure out what how magnets work.
Do we actually think that El knows what 'dump his ass means?' Is she going to be very confused when she finds out they are not dating any more? Also, her montage of picking out clothes was adorable.
But honestly, Steve and Dustin together, was just as adorable. I cannot handle myself with the two of them. I wonder of Robin is staying. I like her find enough. But she just can't compete with the other two in a scene.

It really is. It's so much fun getting to see the kids be kids! Plus it's all bright and shiny and exciting for them! I have zero issue with the supernatural of it all. It's just hard for me to follow because a) I'm dumb b) I forget things after 7 days and c) I'm so much more a character driven person than a plot one. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who loved Hopper in this state. Yes, what he's doing is shitty, but watching him have fun is so enjoyable! I feel like Will is such an ancillary character. Even though this is kind of all based around him. But he's probably my least favorite character right now. Because he was sort of in a coma (or whatever you want to call it), he doesn't realize that everyone else sort of moved on with their lives.

This season is so much fun. It's Stranger Things so it's definitely scary and creepy at times but it's also such a funny season. It's the summer season of the show so the coloring is very bright and vibrant and over all it's just a romping good time in my opinion :) Hopper being so happy at the beginning is so funny. He's so happy over his daughter's sadness but it's hilarious if you don't think about it too deeply lol. The makeover scene with Max is delightful. Steve/Dustin/Robin's scenes. Scott Clarke's entrance with Weird Al in the background... I could go on and on about this episode... it's simply fantastic. One thing that doesn't get mentioned much by fans of the show is that Will is pretty insensitive in this episode. I'm sympathetic to him in the sense that he lost a lot of his youth after the events of S1 and S2. He has been through so much and I get that he wants to hold on to some of his youth by playing D&D and stuff... but he has to learn that he can't hold people back from growing or changing and he can't make people do what they don't want to do. It's a hard lesson to learn and I understand that he is still a child but I feel like he went way too far after El broke up with Mike. You see that your friend is clearly hurt and going through something and your all like "your broken up now so does that mean we can play D&D." It was hugely insensitive.
