Patreon REport: Peter Walks On Things

Just a typical late night update from us -- we know, we forgot to update you last week again. -_- We're bad at... practically everything...But NOT WALKING ON SURFACES TO CREATE FOLEY FOOTSTEPS, AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE IN THIS BEHIND-THE-SCENES, INSIDE LOOK AT RESIDENT ENIS 2! Ha! Turned that right around and got you mega excited for this, didn't I? ^-^
Nothing too much new going on other than finishing touches, but with 2016 so close at hand, there will be exciting new projects just on the horizon... Hopefully we'll begin giving you updates on them as the month draws to a close!
And again, so many apologies that we can't seem to keep track and post these weekly like we mean to. :( I think our new year's resolution will be to make sure we capture SOMETHING -- ANYTHING -- of our lives each week for you, in a timely fashion. Things we think aren't worth sharing or discussing could always end up the most interesting, with the right insight from you guys. So we'll double down on our efforts to diligently REport all our goings-on next year!

It's a technique from art school, modified. We had a minute to absolutely cover a huge canvas or piece of paper in paint with a small paintbrush, and have no white peeking through. Pretty much impossible. Until you turn the brush on the side to spread paint and cut corners. Or, wind down from 10 minutes to under 1, with practise. What I'm saying is you could muck around and practise coming up with skeleton plots and half-baked ideas and show us your creative process in a different light, without any guarantee of the ideas being physically produced. How fast can you actually construct a musical and get down to the nuts and bolts of the production, without actually making anything? Just had to explain my reasons, even if you can't see a way for them to work. :P

3D printers aren't nearly as fun to own as you might think. My roommate bought one and roughly half his numerous prints fail for one reason or another. (Curling, too much tension on the plastic, print head clogs, computer crashes, and issues with the modeling to name a few causes.) He gets extremely frustrated with it but keeps putting more money into it replacing parts and buying rolls of plastic.

And then Patreon REports took sixteen hours to make instead of ten minutes. :P The interviewing idea could be a fun and feasible option, though, as long as it were a shoot with plenty of time for all the shots. Or we could at least get a Miss Bird Rant pretty much whenever we like. She's usually down to do anything we need!

Could I suggest a MatPat musical next year? Maybe using Undertale and all of its theories people are chucking around now? You do have the costumes... :P and maybe, when you don't have anything "worthwhile" to show us in a REport, you could take one of the suggestions for musicals people give you and challenge yourself to storyboard an entire musical, using your amiibo collection (no drawing, no music), whether it becomes something or not down the track? Or interview one of your actors on-set about the musical, and save it for a REport? Just a few suggestions...
