On November 2024, NEW membership purchased USING the patreon app on the iOS will also be subjected to apple's 30% app store fee. So I recommend you stay away from subscribing to NEW patrons through the app and simply do it on the internet browser.
For example, if you subscribe with $10 tier:
in the internet browser you'll pay $10.
in the Patreon app in the Apple Store you'll pay around $13 ($3 will simply go to Apple, and not for the creator)
To avoid this 30% fee:
You can registration membership with internet browser, desktop Non-Apple browser or use a Windows and Android App.
This will not impact your existing memberships at all. Apple's App Store fee only applies to NEW memberships purchased in the iOS app beginning in November 2024.

Oops, I just checked and it looks like I’m actually paying a few extra euros every month. So that means Apple is taking a cut from my €10 subscription… 🥲
