Season 5 is the best only because the budget was cut but the writing was just as good as previous seasons.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I think season 5 beats season 4 by a landslide, even with a cut budget. Season 5 proves that they don't need a ton of money for over the top visual effects, all they need is the writers and the cast to produce an amazing season. All through season 5 I felt like the writers, cast, and crew were just showing off how much better they were than other shows by delivering the one thing the fans of this show appreciate the most-an amazing story. At least that's my opinion. I will agree that season 4 is spectacular in its own right.

Even though season 4 is by far the best season, season 2 is personally my favorite. Its what made shield my favorite "superhero" show.
