You should have paid attention to the dialogue. He already said that he couldn't slip through the bars without getting shocked like crazy. Also, Ralph is not made out of rubber, but can stretch like rubber. Two different things. Still human flesh.

what really pisses me off is that ralph is made out of rubber and he can turn his whole body paper this and EASILY slip through those bars

Mirror Mistress? :-) And if I remember correctly, in the comics Ralph Dibny was married ... to Sue Dibny ... nee Dearbon ... :::foreshadowing::: :-D
