No one liked Mace the first time watching through. He's purposely presented by the show as shifty.

In the comics, after one of the major events, Nick Fury left Daisy in charge of SHIELD. She was (at the time) the only other person on the planet with a Level 10 clearance - So that was a nice nod to it, by Coulson. ps - The Sqeeeeeeeeeee @ *that* moment broke about as many glasses as expected. ;D

I don't have an issue with them not liking him. I just don't like how they ignore facts tha go against their biases.
