It most definitely is, in its many variations, a very interesting and intensely arousing thing. Especially interesting, I find, is how it's so fundamentally tied to and deeply rooted in the base biological act. I would imagine that it's a trait shaped by evolution, as finding that sexy, wanting to do it, is the very core of it all. Yet, for many, the biological repercussions are not a part of the kink. Although for me, the romantic edge you mentioned, the very intentional conception, is an intensely powerful variation of it as well. It's entirely living in my fantasy, though, as I don't think fiction can fully capture that for me. And reality, well, I have no such plans currently.
