Progress Report Week 37
🕑 Added 2022-09-17 16:06:23 +0000 UTCThis is again going to be a fairly long post.
That is mainly due to the information regarding the Level up event.
Wrist
Even though my wrist is still not feeling as it should, I'm happy to say that it's already feeling much better than last week.
I'm at least now able to sit down for a while and focus on work without being distracted by pain all the time.
And, even though I'm still not back to my normal hours, and even though that will likely still take a couple of weeks before I'm back to normal.
I'm happy that there is improvement and that I'm currently able to do more than last week. :)
0.8.91
Now, what about this update?
I finished all the art for the upcoming update yesterday and started writing all the events today.
I'm expecting to have all that finished in about 10 days from now.
I'm hoping to have it finished sooner, but I scheduled plenty of time in case I need to take an extra break.
So, we are still on schedule for a release on September 30th.
0.9.0 & 0.9.1
Now, what about the level-up event that I mentioned last week?
As a lot of people have figured out by now, the trip to the cabin will play a huge part in the upcoming level-up event. However, this level-up event will be very different than the previous ones.
I received a lot of feedback on the previous level-up events, and even though pretty much everyone loved the content in these events.
People did think that it was a bit lengthy and that they wish the event was divided into smaller events.
Having that in mind, and knowing that there is going to be a LOT of content in the upcoming level-up event.
I decided that the upcoming level-up event will be a small "Sub-level"
Sublevel? What does that mean?
The three main characters will spend a couple of days at the cabin, and each day will be divided into 4 sections. (Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night)
Each section will have a unique event that continues the level-up event as a whole. And each day will be completely unique.
We will recommend playing ALL the events, but you will have the option to skip them as well.
But, this way. We can still tell the story that we want to tell, but at the same time give everyone the chance to pause or come back another day.
(No one likes stopping in the middle of an event after all.)
But, why does it say 0.9.0 and 0.9.1?
Well, that is because of 2 reasons.
1. All the events combined, will be by far the biggest event that we ever produced.
2. My wrist is still recovering and producing the biggest update that I ever produced does not seem like the smartest idea.
So, this is the plan that we have.
(You can also view the roadmaps that I've updated ---> Here <---)
Update 0.9.0
Level Up Event Day 0 : Evening, Night.
Level Up Event Day 1 : Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night.
Level Up Event Day 2 : Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night.
Update 0.9.1
Level Up Event Day 3 : Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night.
Level Up Event Day 4 : Morning, Afternoon.
Sidney Level up & Level 3.
Why do I want to create so many events for the level-up event?
Just like the previous level-up events, simply because I need those events to tell the story that I want to tell.
M & S & MC have a lot of things to talk about, but obviously also like to enjoy their time at the cabin.
And, just like with any other level up... They might be ready to take their next step in their relationships.
However, the 0.9.1 update will also contain the Sidney Level 3 content that I promised, so people don't have to worry about that.
And, after the 0.9.1 update, we will continue development as we've always done, and as I promised a little while ago.
I know that it's not perfect having to divide the level up into 2 updates, but this ensures that I can produce the update that you guys deserve.
If you have any questions or comments about this, you can always reach us here on Patreon or Discord.
Thank you to all the people that joined our Patreon in the past week, and thank you to everyone that was already here. :)
I hope that I made it all pretty clear and that you understand why I have to split the update into 2 updates.
We'll be back with another progress report, next week.
And, I promise that it will be a bit shorter.

Great explanation for why you are making an expansive level up event. It Does deserve the time to get it right and I think two updates worth of content will be great way to honor this event that we have been working towards for years! Thanks for taking the time to explain everything.
