To answer this, we turn to Jung's conception of the libido (intentionality, desire & willpower) and what is necessary for us to have the energy we need for external success and transformation. We also discuss the difference between "I want," "I should," "I must," and "I will." I explore why it was so difficult to write a novel compared to my experience of working on this podcast. We also tackle introversion and extroversion, the two different types of failure, and the irrational. I'm very excited about this episode, and think it will be particularly helpful for anyone trying to work on a creative or otherwise self-directed project or goal.

I only wish that I'd discovered your podcast earlier - might’ve saved me from languishing in my depressive state for almost 2 years. Realise in hindsight how much of my libido went towards maintaining a failure in my "career". Which now sounds obvious, but in the thick of it... Wow. Will definitely be sharing, thank you x
