Figures floating in the void is more my shpeel, but I've started to dip my toes into more complex waters. The shadows are pretty messy and there's definitely things I could refine better, but! I don't want to spend too much time on this -- I want to continue on and apply what I've learned to newer pieces instead!
In the Executioner's story there's a character named Mrs. Morrigan who runs a laundromat/dry cleaners and does the clean up for the boys' suits after messy nights. I used her place as a test run since I always saw it with a really limited, sterile color pallet and relatively empty.
Even with using Sketchup to build a base for this, I think some of the proportions/perspective came out a little wonky lmao. But live and leearrnn.

This is so cool! I love the details like the grime on the walls to give it that dingy, worked-in typical "laundromat" look. I think you got that 'sterile, empty' feeling spot on.That is a crazy amount of blood tho sorry Mrs. Morrigan. I hope Smith (guessing by the presence of the bat & coat and the fact that you've drawn him with such things before I think) apologized for the mess too.

Very nice. Looks like she's just taking care of business.
