6/10/2017 Market District (pixels!)
🕑 Added 2017-06-10 07:37:49 +0000 UTC You're def gonna want to full view this one!I've been on a sort of pixel art roll since Ive been feeling art blocked with my normal stuff! I'm still pretty new to it, so it's a lot of fun practice. This here was inspired by my want to draw the scenery of my Executioners story, but being atrooocious at backgrounds lmao. I ended up trying to convert a small section of one of the environments -- The Market District -- into a mock up for a side scrolling game background!
I stayed away from doing a lot of antialiasing purposefully since I didnt want it to blur out the hard edges that keep all the little details readable. I also added some airbrushing for lighting effects, but idk how I feel about that overall.
Anyways, I'm not sure if this is completely done, but I'm also worried about over cluttering it, so this is how i's gonna remain for now haha -- I hope to do an entire series of mini-environments like this, and hopefully i'll continue to learn with each one o/
Edit, the little shadow guy is a left over prop from me using him to keep everything in scale lmao. There's no shadow people that go to this market -- I think.
