Soul Void soft launch!
🕑 Added 2019-07-25 18:21:02 +0000 UTC
Hey guys! After ~2.5 months of work, Soul Void is finally complete! To a 99% degree!
You can play it in its entirety right here, for free, using the password "soulvoid".
The only thing that may change between now and like, tomorrow afternoon when I plan to officially post it is some very minor art stuff -- unless someone finds a bug I didn't smack into. If that happens, please send me a message on tumblr or twitter and I'll get to fixing it ASAP.
Unfortunately, some content from Soul Void had to get cut due to memory restrictions. I, at one point, had too many unique art assets in the second-half of the game, which caused, well, this:
I essentially had to cut back things/areas until the final ending screens were readable, and that sucks! But it's also my fault for trying to shove A Whole Lot into an engine that's not entirely equipped to handle it. One of the cut scenes is the "best" ending screen, which would have been this, but, you know, finished lmao. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to include it without making other areas of the game suffer.
Regardless, Soul Void was made just to see if I could make it and to test out GB Studio, so it served its purpose in both those regards! I don't plan to do much more with SV from here on out, as I have to get back on track and pick up like 5 other projects that got set aside to finish this lol, but I hope you guys enjoy it for what it is!
Thank you for your patience with me and this little side project!

It was a great experience! :) Great job on the art and feel of the game, and the bits of humor and wit fits in nicely. It has personality for a relatively short game. I enjoyed it :))
