If you do give it a whirl, I'd greatly appreciate a comment on this post about how long it took you to get to the end of the demo (not including the one available ending, you can technically speed run this in about 4 minutes if you know what to do haha), if you ran into any bugs (such as breaking out of bounds, a sprite not showing up correctly, typos, etc.) and general thoughts, if you have anything you want to share!
Also, if you have a friend who also want to play, feel free to share the link, but don't post publicly, please!
certain things to note:
- If you get a blank square while using google chrome, enable third party cookies for the game's URL in your browser security settings (long story short, the emulator uses cookies to save your progress, and wont start the game if it cant save).
- I'm aware of a quick visual glitch that happens to Erindi during a cutscene in his shop; I think I know how to fix it for the next preview.
- silent areas dont have any music written for them yet
-Most music is still a WIP and may sound unfinished or oddly looped. the only finished pieces are:
- Meeting God (the first hallucination)
- Erindi's Assurance (Scene where he joins your party)
- Theta's Test (scene where you get infected)
- Shh it's a Secret (secret room)
Feel free to mute if it gets too repetitive lol
-There are a lot of unfinished art assets, such as backgrounds, character sprites, and dialogue, which will often be shown as "placeholder".
- the text is easier on the eyes in the smaller resolution, and may be a bit hard to read if you pop the game out in a full screen window. Unfortunately I can't switch fonts in the engine, allowing for people to choose between the normal text and an anti-aliased one that's easier to read at a larger scale.
- I plan to add a dog-petting animation to my dogs in the secret room lmao -- The secret room itself will get a visual overhaul + more references at some point.
That's it for now! I will continue to work hard to finish this game-slash-narrative-experience :) I hope you enjoy, thank you for your support, and please stay cool in this summer heat!

nearly a month later, but i finally had time to play through the demo. this was really fun and super interesting!! it took me about an hour, i think? but i'm also a slow reader and very thorough with exploration in these games, so i tend to take slightly longer than most. i'm excited to see where things go and learn more about the structure of the world itself!! the setting is so cool. pixel games always make me miss my gameboy and this one definitely had the vibe of those older games, which made me smile ^-^
