I wanted to share some recent news and thoughts about the release of the first episode.
After the release, I took a week off to recharge. That week has passed, and now I'm back, fully rested and motivated to start working on the second episode. I've already drafted an outline for it, so now I'm going to develop it in more detail: writing dialogues, creating new locations for new scenes, and so on. There's a lot of work, but I'm full of enthusiasm!
I've also been reading many of your reviews. Most players received the game positively, which I'm definitely very happy about. Thank you so much for your feedback; it always helps me improve and make the game better. Your interest motivates me to work even harder.
Of course, along with positive reviews, I also encountered some criticisms. Some of them, I think, were quite fair. For example, the limited player freedom in choices, the so-called illusion of choice, etc. Rest assured, I'll take this into account and try to improve it in the second and subsequent episodes. The first episode of Domino Beach was introductory, so all the main decisions were either too short (affecting only a couple of phrases or renders). The main significant branching will come in the following episodes. There were also some comments about the plot (use of certain clichés). This aspect is a bit more complicated, but I'll try to make the story interesting despite them. In any case, I'll do my best.
I'm also thinking about introducing a phone system into the game. Exchanging messages with other characters, a social network for sharing photos, etc. It's already a pretty standard feature for this type of game, but I think it adds a certain flavor to the game world. Makes it more alive, you know? What do you think about this? I'd like to hear your opinion on this matter.
And right away, another question: does the game need mini-games? For example, in fight scenes and similar events? Of course, if I decide to make them, I'll also add an option to skip them.

I can't remember if the game will be sandbox or not but if so, the phone system I find pretty kewl.

I might be in the minority, but you could slow down the sex a bit too. Could’ve done with a good old second base make out session rather than the prize that we got lol.

Want some opinions? Just so it's said... what you end up doing with your game is your decision when all is said and done. Here's my opinion: - If you wanna add a phone mechanic, here what I think you should do: Only do a kind of photosharing app and mostly ignore a message system. Why? Because you can add flair to characters by what they comment on certain pictures, you can then add path specific pictures with some kind of (friends only) type system. And why ignore messages? In past games; you can accidentally get kick off a path by forgetting to reply/ignoring someone's message. And I think that BARS worked fine with the kinds of messages it had (lewd pics, and spicy comment once deep in a path) - Mini games? I like them for the most part, but keep them simple. I think a surfing mini game could be cool, it can also be a decent way to add RP to a desired Love Interest.

I'm not a fan of mini games, but if you do decide to add a phone, I'd suggest you look at how DebatingPanda implemented the phone in his game 'Between Humanity'. It really is the very best phone implementation I've ever seen in a renpy game and I think it really sells the concept.

I dont believe mini games are needed IMHO. So there are cliches,so what. Write your story your way.

Great first episode! The detail in characters is amazing. No mini games needed in my opinion. Time development that can be used in another areas and personally I don't like it either and skip then all, but that's just me xD

The phone I feel like is a must, not just because it improves immersion, but it also gives you an easy way to flesh out characters more. Super excited for the second episode!

Honestly i'm not a fan of mini games but it is Your creation we're just the readers of it, do what you feel belongs in it :).......oh and i thought the 1st episode was Great !!
