Wildlander Devstream Summary (8/26/22) - Diving Into Religion, New Launcher Features, and Player Homes
🕑 Added 2022-08-27 17:27:47 +0000 UTCHappy Saturday Wildlanders!
Ya boy is here with the latest Devstream (with summary, this time!) Here's the highlights from this week:
- 15:56: Release details for 1.1.6
The latest save-safe patch 1.1.6 is basically ready; we are waiting on an update to the new Improved Camera, which the author has told us is dropping sometime this weekend. - 16:59: New launcher performance features
Our lead launcher dev MattLish added a new "Modlist" dropdown that allows users to switch between the Full and Potato modlists, while also choosing their preferred graphics and shaders settings.
This means Potato Mode is no longer tied to graphics settings, allowing MUCH greater control over your graphics and performance. (It's basically like having twice the amount of settings as before, and we may expand this even further in the future.) - 24:20: Showcase for performance modlist + high graphics
A quick graphical showcase of the launcher performance feature in action. - 39:11: Religion mechanics (and preview of future skill changes)
I'll expand more on these features in the September Dev Blog, but this is the first showcase of the upcoming Religion features in action.
At a basic level, players accrue favor with deities by acting in accordance with those deities' tenets, and deity bonuses scale with favor. This ensures that progression is constant, and that every smidge of progress you make will impact the experience.
(This also serves as sneak preview of the new skill system in future versions - likely 2.0.0. We have a larger discussion about skills and perks in this section of the stream.) - 1:53:45: Player home suggestions review
We review several user suggestions for player homes, including Caranthir Tower Reborn, Elysium Estate, Rayek's End, and more.
That's all for this week, everyone! Thanks for your time and support, and wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

I'm sad I missed this. I had requested Rayek's End. If you read the journal next to the bed, it has cool explanation of how the guy who built this place made it for the dragonborn. I like it because it has a place to put all of your trophies. I think with a bit of work, it could fit in ok. It's a great central location also. The only other mod I added which is a must for me is "simply bigger trees". With the right tree textures it is amazing and you can get lost in the forest.

Yes! It is already included in the first version of the feature.
Will daedric worship ever be an option?
