The Five Heartbeats is one of my favorite movies. I would watch my cousin recite this movie. Fun Facts: Eddie’s last name was King but the southern drawl made it to be pronounced Kane. Denzel Washington was Robert Townsend’s first choice to play Eddie Kane & the late Whitney Houston was Robert Townsend’s first choice to play Baby Doll.
