Since we’re a multiplayer platform and not a story-driven game, the lore isn’t front and center, but we still want to go deeper than just saying “hey, it’s Roblox for VR physics games” There’s something bigger behind Beyond.
We're using the lore to build a world that feels alive, and to highlight the real forces driving it: modders.
Inside the fiction of Beyond, there’s Reality Corp, a massive, mysterious company pushing the boundaries of experience. But here’s the twist: Reality Corp is a metaphor for our real-world modkit, the Reality SDK. And at the center of this system is the Architects, legendary figures in the lore who represents the modders.
This isn’t just storytelling. It’s our way of making a statement: modders are the foundation of Beyond. The Reality SDK isn’t just a dev tool, it’s a core part of the platform. We’re building it to be powerful, accessible, and fully supported for a long time, because we believe the future of VR belongs to creators.
Some of the most successful VR games currently have thrived or/and are surviving thanks to their modding communities. They are undeniably making VR devices much more enjoyable. Modders deserve more spotlight, more support, and better tools, and we're here to deliver that.
As for those screenshots? That’s your starting point. No main menu. No UI overlays. Just you, waking up in an alternate version of 2225, holding your Reality Control Device, your way to navigate, shape, and bend the world around you.
