Before they settled on the final script of the Zootopia movie there were a variety of draft stories proposed. Skye was a character in the Savage Seas, an early draft of Zootopia featuring Jack Savage, a jackrabbit, as the main protagonist who was a spy/adventurer and had an assortment of vehicles and gadgets. Presumably Skye, the mechanic, was the one who worked on and/or built these items. What the fandom knows of this character and story that never got beyond an early draft proposal has been gleaned from a small number of concept drawings and from comments from producer/director interviews. In the Zootopia fandom Jack and Skye will occasionally show up in fan art or fan fiction when there is a need for a federal agent, government spy or as a famous action movie star.
