This is probably the season I've been looking forward to your reaction to the most bc of the characters you like (Monica and Chandler, ship name Mondler by the way! and Rachel!) Its funny rewatching these that I forget the order certain things happened in. I could've sworn Ross dated the student later in the run than season 6!

I remember reading an Urban Fantasy series, probably one of the first ones. As it progressed the sex scenes got more and more explicit to the point where they started taking up 1/4 to 1/3 of the books. My friend told me that romantasy was a thing starting around then, where the lines between romance and fantasy werenโt as dividing. And I guess thatโs more of a trend with other genres too, where more books do that fusion kind of tactic. I just find it funny that Joey is the one making fun of Rachel for that when he and Chandler had a whole episode about watching porn for days on end when they got it free on their cable. Lol

I remember my mom having a collection of spicy books too. When I was younger I thought they were a lot, but looking back now they had like one or two sex scenes. So I wouldn't consider them erotica now, I would just consider them romance with mature content. What I would call erotica is when a book has like 60+ percent sexual content, basically sex for the sake of sex, not advancing much when it comes to the characters. And when you know the overall storyline is just a background for the intimate content.

Matthew Perry was very sick at the end of season 6. He was drinking a lot at that time, and developed pancreatitis. In his book he says he basically fimed the finale and went straight to the hospital. He said he almost died. So, during the off season he lost all that weight because he was so sick. Its really quite amazing that he was able to keep working and never even miss a show.

Oh I forgot, this isn't the first time with Rachel and erotica, when we meet Chandler's mom we find out she is a erotica writer and Rachel tries to write her own. Lastly, you say "bless" a lot. I think I understand it in context, like, it's a way to show you feel bad for someone? It isn't something we say in the U.S. so I always wonder what it means specifically.

These are fun episodes to start off with and I have to say, Courteney Cox looks amazing. I don't know if its the hairstyle or if something else changed but this is like, peak Monica for these two episodes. I think Monica getting mad makes a lot of sense. She was always in Ross's shadow at home, and she was in Eachel's shadow in school. She was never the center of attention and these two clowns always have to make everything about them. Now I'm getting mad! I also really like Chandler's speech about the future. These two episodes are also peak Sweet Chandler episodes. Also, Phoebe was on fire. "Finally, a Chandler I can get on board with" makes me laugh every time. Capri pants might be the official pants of the 2000s.
