Commissions & Backlog Update

I'm writing you a long overdue update on my commissions backlog and how things look at the moment.
Last February I stopped taking commissions in order to clear my backlog and then make a fresh restart, but since then I didn't make much progress. I don't like to share sob stories with anyone, so I'll be very broad about it.
My mother has already been sick for a couple of years now, but in the middle of 2020 my dad, who cared for her, got diagnosed as well. I don't want to talk about specifics, but it's bad, they are both better tright now tho.
Because of that I suddenly had a lot of resposibilites to take on, which made it a hard to focus on work and being motivated to draw every day. Also, big thanks to the whole community. You made my days much more bearable during this period. I'm really grateful to have you guys.
I'm sorry I didn't message you about this sooner, but I kept overestimating the situation and thought things would get a change for the better sooner than later. l also hate talking about this kind of negative stuff. I really screwed up. Sorry guys.
Now it's been almost a year since I took the hiatus from commissions, and since I haven't progressed much, I decided it would be more fair to just pause my Patreon Campaign until I catch up with my backlog. At least this way you won't be charged and I'll feel better about it.
tl;dr
STARTING THIS MONTH I WILL PAUSE ALL CHARGES FOR MY PATREON CAMPAIGN.
I will still keep sending out monthly rewards, but everything will be free. This means you will still get the monthly reward packs and invites for the Patreon REQUESTS.
If you want to participate in those, now it's the perfect time to up your pledge to the $7 or above tier. Again, YOU WON'T GET CHARGED.
I don't know when exactly will I resume my campaign, but I'll make sure to let you all know in advance, in order for you to unpledge or lower your pledges in time later on.

Well, not really. I will make art no matter if I pause the charges or not. Might as well send out reward packs as always. And the Patreon REQUESTS don't really affect me that much.

Thanks for further clearing up your plans after the pause, but my question was actually (I think) a lot more simple and you did actually answered in in part with your notion, that you want to clear your backlog before that. I was just wondering if you plan to post that 'final' backlog-list once you enter the patreon pause, since you did publish a public waitlist before, which to my knowledge wasn't updated in the last months. In case you updated those documents by now please excuse me for asking. I just lost track of the size of your backlog (and to be honest where I might be on that list :D)

There won't be a new waitlist until I clear the current backlog. I will post a fresh new waitlist as soon as I resume my Patreon campaign. The new waitlist will be simplified. No more monthly updates based on the old formula. Once you are on the list, you stay at the same spot no matter what, as long as you are a patron. Only the initial order will be determined by your old Patreon points. As I said, I will calculate each individual's points separately to make sure everything is fair. I hope I understood what you asked correctly. Let me know if anything isn't clear.

That sounds like a good approach. I was just wondering if the pause ment there is a completely non changing waitlist until you unpause. I'm asking because I wasn't able to find a up to date list in your shared google drive documents lately (maybe I looked in the wrong places) and to me it sounds like the pause would result in a 'final' list coming february (which you might want to share then).

Once I reopen commissions I'll rehash everything and make a new waitlist based on the pledges that actually happened. Paused pledges won't be considered.

Concerning the patreon pause, does that mean there will be a 'locked in' commission list (with fixed order) at the start of february? As far as I understood it, patreons already on the list could (at least theoretically) 'overtake' others if they plegded more and with the freeze that isn't possible until you restart?
