Hadal Nokk - Bestiary Entry 003

The first week of our new format is complete — here's the hadal nokk.
Hadal nokks are miserable, solitary creatures who hate the world and rightly believe that the world hates them in turn. These amphibious shapeshifting menaces used to be humans, or dwarves, or elves, or similar, but have been transformed into monsters by a foul combination of dark magic and their own hatred. They emerge from their aquatic lairs at night to hunt those that they believe are loved.

Appreciate the feedback Blackwood! We're talking constantly about continuing to tweak things, so this is good to hear.
love the more detailed combat stuff, the action orientated stuff- makes running this stuff so much easier!

I appreciate all the hard work that goes into these, but if I have to be honest, I think the other format worked better. The full art splashes gave the creatures a lot of personality as they felt tangibly connected to their environments. Each set of pictures felt like they were connected by a strong theme and the harder lines of the art made them feel very defined. While it could just be the selection of creatures (these 3 new monsters all don't have expressive faces), I don't get the same sense of personality from them. I am not saying this as a slight because these are all still wonderful, but just an opinion.
