no wrries about the lowest tier - we're all Patreons together... I really do need to come up with a better name for the group....

Teru is a tool of the sumo elders and a very dull one at that. Boring and unentertaining.

Also sad that we'll never see him fight Takerufuji which would be something to see.
Barb
I agree. I really enjoy the bashos when Teru isn't there or pulls out early. I want him to get his 10 yushos so he can retire and give the others a go.

Even next week there will be no competition as long as he stays healthy. It's just the nature of today's class of wrestler. Even more reason to hold The GOAT in such awe. Remember how he played with and then destroyed Terenofuji last time they met on the day of his last match.

The Yokozuna schedule from komusubi on day one down the upper ranked maegashira with the top men at the end is well established! Another thing: Please remember the brilliance of the current coach Miyagino with joy, but don't compare every other Yokozuna to him, out of 73 Yokozuna not quite 20 reached the 10 Championship threshold.

Thank you for the coverage Jason...it's nice not having to chase around YT and try and find the sumo you want.

Thanks for all the sumo, Jason!

thanks for all these videos, Jason!!

Terunofuji has a really easy run this tournament. Should easily get his 10 wins which is less than a 1/4 of those won by the True GOAT Hakuho sho. Leaves the whole thing kind of flat and boring. Thanks for your coverage. Sorry I can only do the lowest tier, I am a retired teacher.

Unfortunate choice of words there. Because Terunofuji has only been consistent in his missing entire or large parts of the last few bashos! But at times, when he is somehow healthy enough, his performance is pure dominance. I found sumo on Youtube again during Covid, then Terunofuji was consistently dominant in his rise to Yokozuna.
Stoyan Zaimov
Yeah there is the yokuzuna, and then there is everyone else. I suppose as it should be. Hard to see who from the current crop could step up and be as dominant as this.

Terunofuji is looking so basic and running over people, it looks like everyone is letting him win it's so dominant. It's good to see the Yokozuna back on his way for another Cup. Makes the other Rikishi have to think about what they need to do to get consistent like him.
